Join our compassionate therapy team at Elderwood at Lancaster, where your skills directly help residents regain independence, confidence, and quality of life.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), you’ll play a key role in supporting residents through meaningful, goal-driven therapy interventions—working side-by-side with our Occupational Therapists to help individuals thrive in their daily lives.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>What You’ll Do:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Deliver skilled occupational therapy treatments developed by a licensed Occupational Therapist</li>\n <li>Support residents in building or regaining essential daily living skills</li>\n <li>Help improve independence, function, and overall well-being</li>\n <li>Collaborate with a dedicated interdisciplinary care team</li>\n <li>Bring encouragement, consistency, and care to every resident interaction</li>\n</ul>\n<p>At Elderwood at Lancaster, we’re proud to be part of a trusted network providing short-term rehabilitation, long-term care, and specialized therapy services, all within a warm, team-oriented environment that feels like home.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>What We’re Looking For:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Active NYS Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) certification</li>\n <li>A compassionate, patient-focused approach to care</li>\n <li>Strong teamwork skills and a positive, can-do attitude</li>\n <li>Passion for helping others achieve meaningful progress</li>\n</ul>\n<p>If you’re looking for a role where your work truly matters—and where every day brings the chance to make a real impact—we’d love to meet you.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Apply today and grow your career with Elderwood at Lancaster!</strong></p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Assists the Director Occupational Therapy in planning, developing and carrying out treatment programs and procedures for individuals.</li>\n <li>Helps create group therapy programs which are mentally and physically stimulating to individuals; prepares and presents individual and group projects appropriate for the confused, blind, deaf and physically handicapped person.</li>\n <li>Writes observations of individual's behavior and progress in Progress Notes.</li>\n <li>Maintains attendance records and other departmental reports; enters treatment record in Medical Record Chart.</li>\n <li>Assists Director Occupational Therapy in the training and supervision of Occupational Therapy Aides and students assigned to the facility for clinical experience.</li>\n <li>Attends Care Planning and Family Care Plan review meetings.</li>\n <li>Assists with departmental in-service programs upon request.</li>\n <li>Completes MDS+ assessment form as required.</li>\n <li>Inventories supplies; assists with keeping area in good order and daily sanitation of equipment.</li>\n <li>Attends in-service training programs, and departmental meetings as required.</li>\n <li>Generate and develop ideas, which improve the quality of care for individuals or increase job productivity and satisfaction.</li>\n <li>Performs other duties as assigned by Director Occupational Therapy.</li>\n <li>Performs all job duties according to safety rules and practices required for this job position, and as required to ensure the general safety of staff, residents and visitors of this facility.</li>\n <li>Performs assigned duties according to the service excellence standards and goals established for this job position, and for all staff members of this facility.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>From</h2>\n<h2>Up to</h2>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>State Department of Education Certification and license to practice as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) required. </li>\n <li>Ability to relate well to individuals and enjoy working within the community. </li>\n <li>Tact and diplomacy; ability to develop good relationships with individuals, staff and students required. </li>\n <li>Ability to inspire and motivate others and create a warm and accepting climate. </li>\n <li>Qualities of maturity, diplomacy, ability to work well with others required.</li>\n <li>Ability to communicate well verbally and in writing required. </li>\n <li>Ability to supervise departmental staff effectively and ensure that high standards of care are maintained. </li>\n <li>Ability to perform tasks to established standards of excellence required. </li>\n <li>Demonstrated willingness to uphold the vision and mission of the company by following the core values of Integrity, Teamwork, and Passion for Excellence and Reverence for the Individual.</li>\n <li>This position requires regular interaction with residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors.
