font-size: 14px;'>Provides quality respiratory care utilizing knowledge, professional judgement and standard principles in cardiopulmonary to promote and maintain health for patients of all ages in accordance with physician orders.</span></p><p><span style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 14px;'><strong><u>Essential Functions and Responsibilities:</u></strong></span></p><ul><li style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 14px;'>Assists patient to accomplish treatment plan and supports life by administering inhalants; operating mechanical ventilators, therapeutic gas administration apparatus, environmental control systems and aerosol generators.</li><li style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 14px;'>Evaluates effectiveness of respiratory therapy treatment plan by observing, documenting, and evaluating patient&rsquo;s progress; recommending adjustments and modifications to the plan.</li><li style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 14px;'>Documents patient care services by charting in electronic medical record and other department systems.</li><li style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 14px;'>Performs diagnostic procedures including arterial puncture, blood gas analysis, pulmonary function tests, 6 minute walks, etc.</li><li style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 14px;'>Ensures safe operation of equipment, clean and safe working environment, and adheres to infection control policies.</li><li style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 14px;'>Collaborates with physicians, nursing and other members of the health care team.</li><li style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 14px;'>Teach patients how to use treatments.</li><li style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 14px;'>Performs all other duties as assigned.</li></ul><p><span style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 14px;'><strong><u>Minimum Qualifications:</u></strong></span></p><p><span style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 14px;'><u>Education</u></span></p><ul><li style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 14px;'>Graduate of an approved AMA program required.</li></ul><p><span style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 14px;'><u>Experience</u></span></p><ul><li style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 14px;'>1 year of experience is preferred.</li></ul><p><span style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 14px;'><u>Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations</u></span></p><ul><li style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif;
