Collaborate closely with clients, architects, designers, engineers, trade partners, and internal teams to ensure effective communication, project alignment, and successful execution. Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, resources, and milestones. Manage project budgets, track expenses, review financial reports, and implement corrective actions as needed to ensure financial goals are met. Identify potential risks and issues in projects, develop mitigation strategies, and proactively address challenges to ensure project success. Oversee procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractor services, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with project specifications. Lead project meetings, provide regular updates to stakeholders, and maintain proactive and transparent communication throughout the project lifecycle. Foster a culture of safety by promoting and enforcing safety policies and procedures on construction sites. Drive continuous improvement by analyzing project outcomes, identifying areas for enhancement, and implementing best practices across projects. Mentor and develop project team members, providing guidance, feedback, and opportunities for growth. Develop strong relationships with clients, retain current repeat clients, and identify and nurture prospective clients. Preferred Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction project management, demonstrating a track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget. Profound knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and best practices. Experience with project management software and tools for scheduling, budgeting, and reporting. Proven ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts. Familiarity with building codes, regulations, and permitting processes. Strong understanding of jobsite safety practices and OSHA 10-hour or 30-hour certification preferred. History of continual professional learning, growth, and development Ideal Skills and Qualifications: Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for clear and concise project documentation and stakeholder updates. Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities, especially in high pressure situations. Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on quality and accuracy. Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools. Demonstrated commitment to safety in construction practices. Proactive attitude, self-motivated, and able to take initiative. Flexibility to adapt to changing project needs and priorities. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a constant eye on safety, quality, and productivity. Confident and effective communicator, presenter, and coach. Physical Requirements: Ability to remain in a stationary position (e.g., standing or sitting) for extended periods when reviewing plans or conducting meetings. Ability to move about active construction sites, including walking on uneven terrain, climbing ladders or scaffolding, ascending/descending stairs, and navigating tight spaces. Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment weighing up to 25 pounds. Ability to read printed plans, drawings, and computer screens, and conduct conversations in person and via phone/radio in noisy environments. Ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions and temperatures.
