The professional in this role will design, develop and maintain Java applications. The Java Developer will provide technical guidance and follow Agile software development methodologies. </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Perform systems analysis, design, and development.</li>\n <li>Demonstrate and maintain knowledge of web-based technologies and architecture.</li>\n <li>Design and implement secure code for software applications.</li>\n <li>Perform testing and maintain large software applications.</li>\n <li>Follow Software Configuration Management techniques and practices.</li>\n <li>Perform iterative code development.</li>\n <li>Perform troubleshooting and supporting production applications.</li>\n <li>Assist other developers with technical solutions.</li>\n <li>Evaluate, identify, and present alternatives for software.</li>\n <li>Provide weekend and off-hour production support as needed</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to obtain a Public Trust security clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required)</li>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.</li>\n <li>5+ years of software development experience.</li>\n <li>Hands-on experience in HTML, JavaScript, Hibernate and Oracle.</li>\n <li>Struts 1 to extend Java Servlet API to adopt-model-view-controller architecture.</li>\n <li>Strong experience with the following technologies:\n  <ul>\n   <li>Java, Java Database Connectivity (JDBC)/ JDBC Report builder.</li>\n   <li>Java Messaging Services, Java mail API, Java Server Page Technologies (JSP), Java Servlets.</li>\n   <li>Active X (C++).</li>\n   <li>Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP), Lightweight Directory Interchange Format (LDIF).</li>\n   <li>Extensible Markup Language (XML), Extensible Stylesheet Language Transformation (XLST) Formatting.</li>\n   <li>Oracle Database (DB) stored procedures (PLSQL and SQL).</li>\n   <li>Redhat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Database (DB) initiated chrons.</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Strong experience with the following Application Architecture Systems:\n  <ul>\n   <li>Java Platform Enterprise Edition (J2EE).</li>\n   <li>Enterprise JavaBeans 3 (EJB3) and using session beans.</li>\n   <li>Standard Model View Controller (MVC) architecture using Jakarta Struts.</li>\n   <li>Use of standard design patterns (MVC paradigm, Singleton, Data Access Object, Service Locator, Factory).</li>\n   <li>Webservices/API development experience & Unix Operating System Proficiency.</li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Desired Skills</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Java Platform Enterprise Edition (J2EE).</li>\n <li>SEAM.</li>\n <li>Unix Operating System Proficiency.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Location</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Suitland, MD (Hybrid)</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Salary Band:</strong> $100,000 - 110,000 (Depending on experience)</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>About CVP</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>CVP is an award-winning healthcare and next-gen technology and consulting services firm solving critical problems for healthcare, national security, and public sector clients.
