You will work in an innovative, creative and multidisciplinary environment focused on improving the quality of life of children and their families.With its committed and dedicated staff, Shriners Hospitals for Children - Canada has been helping children reach their full potential for over a 100 years.</p>\n<h2>Job Overview</h2>\n<p>Under the supervision of the : Manager– Technical Services, Emergency Measures & Security and interim Supply Chain, the Department Head and in collaboration with the Administrative agent - Class 1 Purchasing, the warehouse agent is responsible for ordering, storing and distributing supplies, materials or equipment needed by staff to perform their work. The incumbent must also manage the inventory of materials and exercise control over goods by recording them in a computerized system.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Order merchandise and products in inventory according to the requests received by entering the required data in the computer system Workday according to the procedures and regulations of the establishment.</li>\n <li>Confirm prices from suppliers by fax or email for projects.</li>\n <li>Receive the merchandise in inventory or project: unloading, recognition, verification of the products in relation to the delivery order and forward it to the accounting department.</li>\n <li>Route merchandise received to the warehouse or store or Operating Room warehouse.</li>\n <li>Maintain the layout of the warehouse, store and OR warehouse.</li>\n <li>Ship patient products or merchandise (documents, products, pagers, etc.) within or outside of Canada according to rules and procedures using the Quadient software for shipping.</li>\n <li>Manage the receipt and issue of goods in the warehouse and OR.</li>\n <li>Perform weekly inventory counts, check levels in stores and Operating Room.</li>\n <li>Apply customer service procedures (information, problem resolution, advice).</li>\n <li>Use the Workday inventory software according to the requirements of the position to manage store inventory and operating room supplies. </li>\n <li>Collaborate with the OR team and MDR for special orders.</li>\n <li>Inform and collaborate with the administration agent - class 1 purchasing.</li>\n <li>Completes paper and digital shipping documents required for shipment and delivery, increasingly using management software, optical scanners, bar code scanners and other similar technologies that record product identification information.</li>\n <li>Perform all other related duties.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><em> </em></p>\n<p><em>With respect to patient safety:</em></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Reports any potential hazards to employees, patients or visitors (these hazards could be biological/contagious, chemical, environmental/mechanical, physical or psychosocial in nature)</li>\n <li>Attends the Emergency Preparedness Orientation and any other in-house conferences related to patient safety;</li>\n <li>Keeps up to date on relevant policies and procedures (e.g., knowing emergency codes, completing learning modules available on Workday)</li>\n <li>Maintains current knowledge, training and practices of his/her profession and ensures that any licenses and/or certifications are filed in his/her employee file.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><em>Academic knowledge</em></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High school diploma.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><em>Experience</em></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Minimum of two (2) years of experience as warehouse agent or the equivalent.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><em>Desired skills</em></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bilingual in French and English, written and oral; </li>\n <li>Good knowledge of current office software and inventory software.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of Workday software will be considered an important asset.</li>\n <li>Adaptable, autonomous and meticulous.</li>\n <li>Good work organization and judgment.</li>\n <li>Physical work, need to lift 50 lbs</li>\n <li>Basic knowledge of Lean philosophy and Kanban systems (an asset)</li>\n</ul>",
