Responsibilities Carries out treatment plans established by the physical therapist including progression of patient to attain functional goals as deemed appropriate by patient status and normal progression. Provide exceptional care for patients in an outpatient orthopedic clinical setting. Written documentation on patient status per compliance guidelines of IBJI Rehab. Periodic written communication to physicians through progress notes and discharges after consulting with the supervising PT regarding assessment and plan, and co-signed by PT Frequent communication with supervising PT regarding appropriate patient progression, discharge and patient follow up. Supervising Rehabilitation Technicians with patient care and administrative staff as needed. Compliance with daily paperwork which includes documenting all treatment in patient charts in a timely manner (daily notes, progress notes, discharges, HEP, etc). Stays current with billing policies and demonstrates ethical billing practices. Maintains active state license by earning appropriate CEU’s through outside courses and IBJI sponsored educational opportunities. Develops positive relationships with physical therapists and physician teams at IBJI. Takes an active role in the patient medical team by facilitating relationships with PT’s, MD’s and case managers as appropriately directed by supervising PT. Participates in IBJI sponsored programs including mentoring, clinical educator, special interest groups, community outreach, etc.
