The Bus Driver is also responsible for vehicle maintenance and reporting.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold\">ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\"> Safely transport Head Start children, Staff, Chaperones, and parents to and from planned Head Start activities.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\"> Mandatory reporter of all incidents of child abuse and neglect.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\"> Maintain open communication with children, parents, and staff.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\"> Contributes to child’s learning by actively communicating and interacting with all children at all times to promote language and literacy.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\"> Plan and implement regular bus evacuation drills and provide training.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\"> Know necessary protocols in transporting children with special needs.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\"> Complete monthly reporting and maintain fuel and servicing records.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\"> Clean bus and all program vehicles on a regular basis.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\"> Supervises the loading and unloading of Head Start enrolled children along with the bus aide.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\"> Attends all staff meetings, planning sessions and other related workshops.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\"> Complete inspections on bus and all program vehicles on a regular basis.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\"> Attend in-service and training.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\"> Maintain confidentiality.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\"> Other duties as assigned.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold\">MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\"> High School Diploma or G.E.D. Equivalent;</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\"> Strong communication skills;</span><br></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Prefer bus driver who can fill in as janitor, cook, and teacher’s assistant</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Must have current CDL and IVP clearance card.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\"> Submit to and pass required Local, State, and Federal Background Checks;</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\"> Submit to and pass annual Physical Examination and TB Test.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\"> Submit to and pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screening.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\"> Must be willing to work beyond regular hours as necessary.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\"> Must be able to follow directions and work with others.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold\">HOW TO APPLY:</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Submit a completed Employment Application to: Human Resources Department, P.O.
