Salary: USD 80,000–110,000
Description
As the Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring product quality, reliability, and compliance from NPI throughout the product lifecycle. This role partners closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, and Supply Chain to maintain high quality standards, drive continuous improvement, and support efficient production of industry leading technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and maintain quality plans, procedures, and inspection criteria for products and processes
Support quality activities across manufacturing, testing, and production operations
Lead quality activities for New Product Introduction (NPI) programs from development through ramp to production
Define and implement quality plans, inspection strategies, and control plans for new products
Participate in design reviews (DFMEA, PFMEA) to identify risks and drive corrective actions early in the product lifecycle
Develop and review test plans, validation plans, and qualification requirements
Perform root cause analysis and drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) using structured problem solving tools
Analyze quality data, yield trends, and defect metrics to identify improvement opportunities
Conduct and support internal audits, process audits, and compliance reviews
Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure products meet customer, regulatory, and internal quality requirements
Review engineering documentation including drawings, specifications, and change notices
Support supplier quality activities, including incoming inspection, supplier corrective actions, and quality performance monitoring
Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and other applicable quality management standards
Assist in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction
Prepare and maintain quality documentation such as SOPs, work instructions, inspection records, and reports
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related field)
1 3 years of experience in Quality Engineering, within IT, hardware industry
Working knowledge of quality tools and methodologies (CAPA, 8D, 5 Whys, SPC, FMEA)
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in server, storage, networking, or data center hardware
Supplier quality or contract manufacturing experience
Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent quality certification
Experience with reliability testing or failure analysis
Salary range offered for this position is between $80,000 to $110,000 annually. This can be subject to change based on the candidate's experience level and skill set.
