Volunteers may </span><span>assist</span><span> with a variety of projects that help keep the building and space functioning effectively, safely, and comfortably for residents, staff, and visitors.</span></span><span> <br></span><span> </span></p>\n<p><span><span>At The INN Between, our mission is to provide compassionate care, dignity, and a safe place to heal for individuals experiencing homelessness and medical vulnerability. By supporting the maintenance and care of our building, volunteers directly contribute to creating a welcoming environment where residents can focus on recovery, stability, and quality of life. This work serves as the backbone of all services provided at The INN Between, as </span><span>maintaining</span><span> a safe and functional environment makes all other care and support possible.</span></span></p>\n<p><span><br></span><br></p>\n<p><span><span>Time Commitment: </span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Volunteer opportunities are available weekdays between *</span><span>9:30 AM – 4:00 PM</span><span>.</span><span> (*once independend, volunteering could extend outside of these hours)</span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Volunteers may sign up for flexible </span><span>2-3 hour shifts</span><span> during those times, making it easy to help in a way that fits your schedule.</span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span><span>Education/Experience:</span><span> </span></span><span> </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>For general facilities support volunteers do not need any certifications and while general knowledge of facilities work is </span><span>helpful</span><span> it is not </span><span>required</span><span>.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Certifications or equivalent experience </span><span>are only</span><span> </span><span>required</span><span> for specialized tasks such as plumbing, electrical, and HVAC work. </span></span><span> </span><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span><br></span></p>\n<p><span><span>Skills and Abilities</span><span>: </span></span><span> </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Volunteers should </span><span>have good</span><span> attention to detail, problem solving skills, communication skills, and be dependable.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Physical stamina is required for tasks that involve a lot of hands-on work. </span><span>If you have a lifting restriction, please ask for staff assistance with moving objects.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Passion for The INN Between and the services provided to the community. </span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Volunteers should be able to be comfortable with homeless individuals. </span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Ability to keep client information confidential.</span></span><span> </span><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>Requirements</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>18+ </span><span>y</span><span>ears of </span><span>a</span><span>ge.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Must be able to pass a Criminal Background Check</span><span>.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Sign Required Volunteer Documents: Department of Human Services Code of Conduct, DWS Code of Conduct and Non-Disclosure Statement, HIPAA Acknowledgement, etc.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n<li><span><span>Must provide a list of c</span><span>urrent vaccinations, including flu and COVID-</span><span>19,</span><span> masks will need to be worn for any exemptions.</span></span><span> </span><br></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Depending on the tasks assigned, volunteers may need to be comfortable standing or kneeling for extended periods of time.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>I</span><span>f </span><span>you have</span><span> a lifting restriction, please ask for staff </span><span>assistance</span><span> with moving objects during</span><span> your</span><span> duties</span><span>.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>Training Commmitment</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>New Volunteer Induction</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Volunteer Orientationm, to be completed prior to any direct service </span><span>- </span><span>1 hour</span><span>.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>In </span><span>person</span><span> meeting</span><span> and tour.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Position Specific Training – .5 to </span><span>1 hour</span><span>.
