They've been a great collaborator in helping us shape what the future of agents looks like." — Prashant Mital, Applied AI Lead, OpenAI What you’ll be doing: We’re looking for a Channel Sales Leader to build and scale Basis’s channel sales program from the ground up. You’ll develop and manage strategic relationships with enterprise CPA firms who will serve as resellers and implementation partners for our product. This means standing up the full channel sales motion—recruiting firms, building enablement programs for both their sales and implementation teams, and creating the infrastructure to make channel partners successful at selling and deploying Basis. Build the channel sales program: Design the channel sales strategy, identify and recruit target enterprise CPA firms, and structure commercial agreements (reseller models, referral programs, revenue share). Develop sales enablement: Build training programs, playbooks, and co-selling motions that equip partner sales teams to effectively position and sell Basis into their client base. Develop implementation enablement: Create certification programs, implementation guides, and ongoing support structures so partner teams can deploy Basis successfully for their clients. Build and lead the team: Hire and develop a channel sales team across channel management, enablement, and channel success as the program scales. Drive channel revenue: Own channel-sourced and channel-influenced pipeline and revenue targets. Build forecasting and reporting to track channel performance and program ROI. What you’ll bring: 7–15+ years of experience in channel sales, business development, or go-to-market roles, with a focus on building channel programs from early stages Experience building system implementor (SI) or managed services partner channels Track record of building enablement programs for external partner organizations (sales and/or implementation) Experience structuring and negotiating partner commercial agreements Ability to work in office in Manhattan 5 days per week What we’d love to see: Deep relationships within the enterprise CPA firm ecosystem (Big Four, top 25 firms) or similar professional services networks Background in accounting, fintech, or professional services software Prior experience at a startup building a channel sales motion as a new go-to-market lever Experience building partner certification or implementation programs from scratch What success looks like in this role: Channel architect: You build the channel sales infrastructure—recruiting, enablement, commercial terms—that turns enterprise CPA firms into a scalable revenue channel Enablement-first mindset: Partners are equipped and confident selling and implementing Basis because you’ve invested in their success Revenue driver: Channel-sourced pipeline and revenue grow consistently as the program matures Company-builder: Eager to lay groundwork both commercially and culturally as we rapidly scale All-in: Driven to seize a massive opportunity, accelerate growth, and commit deeply to Basis’s success Benefits at Basis We offer a competitive and thoughtful benefits package designed to support your physical, mental, and financial well-being: Health & Wellness: Premium Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage; Life Insurance; and 6 coaching & 6 therapy sessions through Spring Health.
