The specialist is responsible for providing technical guidance and leadership to various company departments concerning compliance with environmental regulations. In exchange for your passion and expertise, we provide a benefits package that supports your well-being and growth in all aspects of life.</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Medical</li>\n <li>Vision</li>\n <li>Dental</li>\n <li>Supplemental Life Insurance</li>\n <li>Dependent Life Insurance</li>\n <li>Flexible Spending Account</li>\n <li>Wellness Programs</li>\n <li>Service Awards</li>\n <li>Educational Reimbursement</li>\n <li>Fitness Reimbursement</li>\n <li>Holidays</li>\n <li>Paid Time Off</li>\n <li>Parental & Maternity Leave</li>\n <li>401K</li>\n</ul>\n<p></p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Provide technical guidance and assistance to various company departments concerning compliance with environmental regulations</li>\n <li>Provide support to other environmental staff members in the achievement of land and environmental department tasks</li>\n <li>Prepare and submit documents related to gaining federal or state authorization for company activities or demonstrating compliance with applicable regulations to the respective agencies</li>\n <li>Monitor regulatory initiatives, estimate potential impacts to company, and participate in the process involved in the rulemaking</li>\n <li>Liaise with regulatory agencies in support of company functions</li>\n <li>Other duties as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Minimum Qualification</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in environmental science or related physical science field or combination of work experience and education in place of</li>\n <li>Entry-level environmental work experience related to air permitting, hazardous waste management, RCRA, or other applicable environmental compliance requirements</li>\n <li>Valid driver’s license and insurability</li>\n <li>Strong written and verbal communication skills</li>\n <li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills</li>\n <li>Strong attention to detail</li>\n <li>Experience in Microsoft Office programs (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or related program</li>\n <li>Knowledge of environmental rules and regulations</li>\n <li>Ability to manage and oversee environmental projects</li>\n <li>Ability to work independently in prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines</li>\n <li>Ability to manage and oversee the work of multiple environmental projects</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred Qualification</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Advanced degree in environmental science or related physical science field</li>\n <li>Knowledge of environmental rules and regulations</li>\n <li>Experience writing various permitting documents such as Air, NPDES, SWPPP, and SPCC permits</li>\n <li>Experience with EPA, FERC, and State Department of Environmental regulations preferred</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Other Requirements</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to travel (35% on average), by car and/or plane</li>\n <li>Reliable attendance, scheduling flexibility when job demands require</li>\n <li>Ability to work and effectively prioritize in a fast-paced environment while remaining positive</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>License and Insurability</strong></p>\n<p>A valid driver’s license and insurability under company policy are required.</p>\n<p></p>",
