    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p><strong>HTI Contractors Division, </strong>a division of<strong> H&K Group, Inc., </strong>is looking for a Pipe Foreperson to plan and coordinate work being done on a pipe crew and to direct activities of workers on projects in Maryland.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Why work for H&K Group, Inc.? </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Competitive salary commensurate with experience</li>\n <li>100% Company-paid Health Benefits</li>\n <li>401(k) Savings and Investment Plan</li>\n <li>Tuition reimbursement programs available to qualifying employees for approved programs </li>\n <li>Additional training programs including on the job, online through H&K Academy, manufacturer offered training, and more</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</strong><strong> </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Performs all work according to OSHA and H&K Safety policies</li>\n <li>Reads blueprints and job-related documents to properly plan work</li>\n <li>Records daily events in job diary</li>\n <li>Schedules materials, equipment, and work for the crew </li>\n <li>Develops crew SIP's and submits to site foreperson</li>\n <li>Tracks daily quantities and submits to site foreman.</li>\n <li>Conducts daily huddles with crew to establish daily production goals and ensures all members of crew know and buy into the plan for the day</li>\n <li>Communicates goals and purposes effectively</li>\n <li>Lead and demonstrate by example</li>\n <li>Influences and enforces company values</li>\n <li>Recognizes misalignments with company values and culture and rectifies</li>\n <li>Pro-actively trains and mentors crew members to enhance their skills and knowledge.</li>\n <li>Communicates with customer representatives and inspectors in a courteously and professionally</li>\n <li>Performs all other duties of crew members as needed</li>\n <li>Other duties as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Required Skills, Education, and Experience</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university OR one year of related experience and/or training\n  <ul>\n   <li>Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered </li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Ability to read blueprints and job-related documents</li>\n <li>Strong verbal and written communication skills</li>\n <li>Mathematical skills including probability and statistical inference, fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry</li>\n <li>Demonstrated leadership ability</li>\n <li>Problem solving</li>\n <li>Basic computer skills including Internet, email, and the use of digital cameras for work documentation</li>\n <li>Driver’s license and clean driving record</li>\n <li>Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed</li>\n <li>Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong> </strong><strong>Preferred Skills, Education, and Experience</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Two years of related experience and/or training</li>\n <li>Supervisory experience</li>\n <li>OSHA or other relevant safety certifications</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Physical Demands</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Regularly required to</li>\n <ul>\n  <li>Stand, walk</li>\n  <li>Use hands to finger, handle, or feel</li>\n  <li>Reach with hands and arms</li>\n  <li>Climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl</li>\n  <li>Talk or hear</li>\n </ul>\n <li>Occasionally required to sit</li>\n <li>Frequently required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds</li>\n <li>Specific vision abilities include</li>\n <ul>\n  <li>Close</li>\n  <li>Distance</li>\n  <li>Color</li>\n  <li>Peripheral</li>\n  <li>Depth perception</li>\n  <li>Ability to adjust focus</li>\n </ul>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Work Environment</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Regularly exposed to outside weather conditions</li>\n <li>Frequently exposed to </li>\n <ul>\n  <li>Moving mechanical parts</li>\n  <li>Fumes or airborne particles</li>\n </ul>\n <li>Noise level is usually moderate </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>H&K Group, Inc.</strong> provides complete heavy civil contracting and construction materials solutions with safety, speed, quality, efficiency, and value.
