    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><p><strong>Openings for first and second shifts</strong>&nbsp;</p><p>Pay would depend on certifications&nbsp;</p><h1 id=\"isPasted\">Position Summary&nbsp;</h1><p>This position is responsible for safely and efficiently operating the wastewater program while maintaining regulatory compliance.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>Required to be available and &ldquo;on call&rdquo; every 8<sup>th</sup> weekend and must provide a working telephone number.&nbsp;</li><li>Oversees both offal rooms-removes product going to rendering&nbsp;</li><li>Dumps hoppers into offal trucks&nbsp;</li><li>Completes reports&nbsp;</li><li>Performs phosphorous and chlorine tests and required DEQ testing&nbsp;</li><li>Removes sludge and decants tanker&nbsp;</li><li>Mixes chemicals-lime slurries and polymer&nbsp;</li><li>Performs dissolved oxygen, PH, and sludge depth checks every 2 hours&nbsp;</li><li>Operates Gradall, forklift, and yard buggy&nbsp;</li><li>Cleans hoppers, middle level of pretreatment room, drain pad, wash bay screen room, and the lot between pretreatment and drain pad- follow cleaning duties/schedules as assigned.&nbsp;</li><li>Performs flow meter readings/checks rain gauge&nbsp;</li><li>Performs nitrate testing and well water testing&nbsp;</li><li>Start up and shut down of waste treatment plant &nbsp;</li><li>Other duties as assigned</li><li>Covers for other technicians during absences and/or vacations</li><li>Must be able to work without close supervision &nbsp;</li><li>Must maintain an excellent attendance record</li><li>Must follow all safety procedures and requirements&nbsp;</li><li>Must obtain a Class II wastewater license issued by the Commonwealth of Virginia within 5 years of eligibility.</li><li>Must have or obtain a forklift license&nbsp;</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Education, Training, Certifications:&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>wastewater license issued by the Commonwealth of Virginia -would need to obtain within 5 years&nbsp;</li><li>Forklift license&nbsp;</li><li>High school diploma or GED preferred</li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Experience&nbsp;</strong></p><p>1 year recommended</p><p>&nbsp;</p></div></div>\n",
