    "requisitionDescription": "<p id=\"isPasted\"><strong><u>JOB SUMMARY</u></strong></p><p>Primary role is to serve and assist street homeless clients by completing the essential job functions and to maintain a safe and recovery focused program.&nbsp;</p><p><em>&nbsp;</em></p><p><strong><u>ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS</u></strong></p><ul><li>Assist clients with completing all paperwork, applications, recertification&rsquo;s, obtaining identification paperwork, making phone calls, using computer, email etc.&nbsp;</li><li>Transport /Drive clients in Rescue Mission Vehicle as directed by Program Coordinator</li><li>Provide needed housekeeping/cleaning as assigned by Program Coordinator&nbsp;</li><li>Serve and clean up after client meals/snacks&nbsp;</li><li>Provide recreational programing for clients&nbsp;</li><li>Maintain the safety and security of the facility&nbsp;</li><li>Develop appropriate trust relationships with clients and maintain appropriate boundaries with the clients by upholding the regulations of the program and acting as a trusted source of support.</li><li>Maintain effective communication with Coordinator and other staff members.</li><li>Communicate crisis incidents, potential threats and other unusual incidents to Coordinators.&nbsp;</li><li>Maintain documentation accurately and in a timely manner.</li><li>Use/wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times&nbsp;</li><li>Assist in housekeeping duties daily. &nbsp;</li><li>Abide by all Mission and program policies, procedures and guidelines.</li><li>Attend and participate in regular meetings and trainings as requested.</li><li>Maintain a professional and approachable attitude&nbsp;</li><li>All other duties as requested by the program Coordinator</li></ul><p><strong><u>&nbsp;</u></strong></p><p><strong><u>MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS&nbsp;</u></strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>High School Diploma or GED</li><li>Genuine desire to pursue a career in human services</li><li>Experience working with special populations in the area of recovery, homelessness and mental illness preferred</li><li>Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook</li><li>Clean/valid NYS Driver&rsquo;s License preferred&nbsp;</li><li>Enthusiastic support of our Mission Statement</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong><u>CORE COMPETENCIES</u></strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Team player</li><li>Strong attention to detail</li><li>Strong interpersonal communication skills</li><li>Compassionate and caring demeanor</li><li>Ability to remain calm under pressure</li><li>Ability to set appropriate boundaries</li><li>Promote, model and teach acceptable behaviors</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Status/Hours:&nbsp;</strong>Part Time, 11pm-7am</p><p>&nbsp;<strong>Pay Rate:&nbsp;</strong>$16.00-16.25 hourly, DOE</p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong><strong>Benefits:&nbsp;</strong>We offer a comprehensive benefit package for eligible employees to include medical, dental, life insurance, 401(k), voluntary benefits, paid time off, holidays and paid training.</p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><em>The Rescue Mission of Utica is an equal opportunity employer encouraging individuals with disabilities and veterans to apply.&nbsp;</em></p>\n",
