Join us at Sidus Space to be part of something extraordinary and help shape the future of space access!</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Job Summary</strong></p><p>The Quality Inspector is responsible for the inspection of complex tight tolerance Aerospace manufactured parts and the submittal of out of tolerance conditions to Customer and/or in-house Engineering support.&nbsp;</p><p>This position is expected to be 100% onsite in Cape Canaveral.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Essential Duties/Responsibilities&nbsp;</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Inspect, test, or measure materials, products, installations, or work for conformance to specifications and Customer requirements utilizing best method of inspection (manual inspection methods).&nbsp;</li><li>Mechanical inspection of products to verify conformance to drawing and specification requirements.&nbsp;</li><li>Review work orders or other instructions to determine product specifications or materials requirements.&nbsp;</li><li>Review drawings or other instructions to determine operational methods or sequences.&nbsp;</li><li>Assist with Manufacturing to determine Inspection frequency to assure first time quality.&nbsp;</li><li>Review data and Customer/Industry workmanship standards to determine requirements for inspection and compliance.&nbsp;</li><li>Correlate and record inspection data to document in required format.&nbsp;</li><li>Identify items with detail acceptance-rejection status.&nbsp;</li><li>Monitor equipment operation to ensure proper functioning and to ensure that products are not flawed and notify supervisors or other personnel of production problems, equipment repair or maintenance needs.&nbsp;</li><li>Work closely with CNC machinists to complete inspections and support the team to meet Customer deadlines and complete inspection reports describing results.&nbsp;</li><li>Compare physical characteristics of materials or products to specifications or standards.&nbsp;</li><li>Clean production equipment.&nbsp;</li><li>Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) operation as required.&nbsp;</li></ul><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>Treat all coworkers with respect and dignity ensuring a collaborative culture is continually developed and maintained.</li><li>Other duties as assigned**</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Required Education and Experience</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>High school diploma or equivalent&nbsp;</li><li>Minimum of three (3) years of experience with manual inspection methods; Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) Operation experience is a plus&nbsp;</li><li>Knowledge on AS9100 working environment and First Article Inspection (AS9102), preferred&nbsp;</li><li>Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods, preferred.&nbsp;</li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel) and ability to learn and use other applications including Adobe Acrobat&nbsp;</li></ul><p>&nbsp;<strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Ability to read, interpret and apply various technical data such as prints, specifications and utilize specialized inspection and hand tools&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment,&nbsp;</li><li>Solution oriented while committed to consistency and process&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to work under minimal direction while keeping within the limitations of designated authorities, exercising regular use of good judgment&nbsp;</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills to be able present information, concepts and proposals with a wide range of audiences at all levels, technical or non-technical individuals both internal and external to the company&nbsp;</li><li>Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Additional Eligibility Qualifications&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li><strong>&nbsp;</strong>Flexibility to work occasional overtime to support the team as needed.&nbsp;</li></ul><ul type=\"disc\"><li>All candidates selected will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen&nbsp;</li><li>Must meet all eligibility requirements as a US work authorized applicant under International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)&nbsp;</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong><strong>Physical Requirements&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><ul type=\"square\"><li>Repetitive movement, long periods of standing and walking on concrete surfaces&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls&nbsp;</li><li>Requires wearing common protective or safety equipment&nbsp;</li><li>Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs&nbsp;</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Total Rewards and Perks</strong></p><p><br></p><p>At Sidus Space, we ask a lot of our team members, which is why we give so much in return.
