The Medical Provider works under the direct supervisor of the Regional Medical Director in evaluating and treating</p><p>patients. He or she may also assists in minor surgical procedures following occupational injuries.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Essential Job Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Conduct thorough medical evaluations and provide appropriate treatment for patients, ensuring high standards of care.</li><li>Oversee the work of certified medical staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient and effective patient care.</li><li>Participate in minor surgical procedures, including but not limited to joint injections, laceration suture repair, wound debridement, and eye foreign body removal.</li><li>Conduct medical examinations at various locations as needed.</li><li>Perform remote medical evaluations through telemedicine platform.</li><li>Support case management efforts by participating in calls and providing medical expertise.</li><li>Available for after-hour calls and visits to address urgent medical needs.</li><li>Ensure compliance with all state licensing agencies.</li><li>Take initiative in leading or assisting with new clinic projects, contributing to the growth and development o the clinic.</li><li>Engage in ongoing education and training programs to stay current with medical advancements and best practices.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>Must be a certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.</li><li>Strong proficiency in performing minor surgical procedures.</li><li>Strong communication skills both written and oral.</li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team, fostering a collaborative work environment.</li><li>Must be able to adapt to work in varied environments and learn detailed procedures.</li><li>Proven ability to work under pressure and make effective decisions.</li><li>Cross-train and assist other departments as necessary.</li><li>Commitment to maintaining all required CME’s.</li><li>Can have no active investigations by the Texas Medical Board.</li><li>Requires an active DEA and DPS certificate with no restrictions on prescribing medications.</li><li>Holds a full and unrestricted license in Louisiana and Texas.</li></ul><p><strong>Physical Demands</strong></p><p>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to read, talk or hear. The employee</p><p>frequently is required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle training equipment and tools, reach with hands and</p><p>arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl. The employee occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 25</p><p>pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision,</p><p>depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>NOTE: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
