We are seeking a full-time (40 hours/week) intern for approximately 13 to 15 weeks during the summer of 2026. Preferred candidates would have the ability to return to the position for up to two additional semester rotations during their undergraduate or graduate studies. We offer <u>competitive pay and benefits, and well-being programs</u> to support you and your family. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>To Learn More Visit: http://www.geosyntec.com/careers/.</p>\n<h2>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Researching, collecting, organizing, and summarizing environmental and historical documents;</li>\n <li>Technical writing of reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals;</li>\n <li>Data input and analysis, including preparing maps, tables, and figures;</li>\n <li>Follow instructions and interact with engineers, scientists, geologists, office administrative staff, contractors, and construction personnel; </li>\n <li>Assist with environmental due diligence (Phase I/II ESAs); and</li>\n <li>Potential for fieldwork such as site visits, soil and groundwater sampling, stormwater inspections, in-person historical research at Washington, D.C. area repositories, and drilling and contractor oversight.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Education and Licensure</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Currently registered in a Bachelor’s or Master’s university degree program in a relevant science or engineering discipline. (required)</li>\n <li>Degree focus area in civil, environmental engineering, geology or environmental science, or related field. (required)</li>\n <li>Upper division (e.g. junior, senior) or Master’s enrollment. (preferred)</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Skills, Experience and Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience with Microsoft Office. (preferred)</li>\n <li>Outstanding academic credentials and exceptional interpersonal, technical writing, and problem-solving skills. (preferred)</li>\n <li>Local candidates preferred for the potential ability to return for additional internships no relocation provided. (preferred)</li>\n</ul>\n<p>This opportunity will be posted for at least five days. Below are the potential compensation ranges that we in good faith believe are applicable for this role at the time of this posting and are only applicable for jobs to be performed in the specified location(s) below. The typical base salary range for this position is just one component of Geosyntec’s total compensation package for employees.
