    "description": "<h2> </h2>\n<p><strong>LPN-Night Shift</strong><u></u></p>\n<p>Under the general direction of the Wellness Director, primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to providing assistance to the residents in maintaining their highest level of functional independence and psychosocial wellness.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><u>LPN Duties/Responsibilities:</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Assumes responsibility for administering quality care to meet the total needs of residents</li>\n <li>Provides medication administration, handling, & storage as follows: </li>\n <li>Provides medication assistance for residents in accordance with state regulations and company policy including pouring, preparing, assisting with administration, and documentation</li>\n <li>Assists in maintaining the medication cart and storage room in a neat and orderly manner</li>\n <li>Accepts responsibility for accurate medication counts and for security of the medication cart and medication storage room for assigned shifts</li>\n <li>Comply with company policies and procedures related to controlled substances, narcotic count and documentation</li>\n <li>Use sound nursing judgment to evaluate changes in resident situations and report to Wellness Director and/or physician when appropriate.</li>\n <li>Observes changes in Resident status, needs, or preferences and communicates them to the Wellness Director</li>\n <li>Offers comfort and support, emotionally and physically, to residents</li>\n <li>Reports resident and staff concerns and/or issues to the Wellness Director and/or Executive Director, as designated. </li>\n <li>Assists with vital signs and weight monitoring monthly or more frequently as required for all residents and completes all required documentation</li>\n <li>Assists with resident move-in and move-outs and with resident discharge planning as needed</li>\n <li>Ensure compliance to the American House philosophy as well as all written policies and procedures that govern the operation of the Resident Services Department</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>LPN Required Skills/Abilities: </u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>2+ years of nursing experience preferably with experience in long-term care or geriatrics</li>\n <li>Experience with dementia residents preferred</li>\n <li>Up to date first aid and CPR certification</li>\n <li>Current Unencumbered LPN license in the state</li>\n <li>Knowledge of the physiology and psychology of the older adults.</li>\n <li>Willingness to work evenings and weekends</li>\n <li>Exceptional staff training and customer service skills</li>\n <li>Compassionate and friendly demeanor</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>LPN Education and Requirements: </u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing </li>\n <li>Minimum 18 years of age</li>\n <li>Must pass a pre-employment background check, drug screen, TB test and physical</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Company Overview</h2>\n<p>Founded in 1979, American House Senior Living Communities’ vision is to provide high-quality housing for senior at a price affordable for retirees and their families.
