We transform behavioral health systems through innovation, creativity and collaboration.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold\">Job Description: </span><span style=\"font-size: 16px\"><span>Provide community outreach, crisis intervention, and peer recovery support to unhoused individuals and those facing mental health or substance use challenges in the Anchorage area.</span></span></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 18px\">R<span style=\"font-weight: bold\">OLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</span></span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide community outreach to individuals unhoused, community members in the school systems, as well<br>as community engagement with local partners.</li>\n<li>Provide education and advocacy within the community that promotes awareness of mental health, serious<br>emotional disturbance, OUD and co-occurring disorders, and assists in reducing barriers such as stigma and<br>misconceptions.</li>\n<li>Maintain Data Trackers for all outreaches done in community.</li>\n<li>Engages in all assigned outreach activities in the community.</li>\n<li>Crisis Peer Support will respond to MCT calls in the community and respond within a timely manner and<br>provide assistance to local law enforcement in deescalating crises.</li>\n<li>Provides direct peer support services to clients engaged in recovery services to include, linkages to<br>treatment, community resources, education, employment, housing, etc.</li>\n<li>Responds to, coordinates, and tracks incoming Hopeline calls.</li>\n<li>Assists clients in setting and pursuing their recovery goals.</li>\n<li>Functions as a role model to clients.</li>\n<li>Develops and maintains relationships with clients while maintaining healthy and professional boundaries.</li>\n<li>Provides motivational interviewing, community living skills, social, and emotional support.</li>\n<li>Assists clients in building social and interpersonal skills that will enhance employment opportunities.</li>\n<li>Helps clients understand and employ recovery strategies.</li>\n<li>Maintains an active awareness of the peer support services that are available in the state of Alaska.</li>\n<li>Works to motivate clients through positive means, highlighting strengths and resources.</li>\n<li>Participate in training in areas related to improvement of service delivery.</li>\n<li>Provides or accesses required initial and ongoing training to increase staff competence.</li>\n<li>Models and teaches clients vital life skills that will aid in their success.</li>\n<li>Advocates for clients in treatment setting and within the community.</li>\n<li>Shares lived experiences and assists in community, relationship and skill building.</li>\n<li>Interacts with the clients in a manner conducive to their safety, dignity, privacy, and security.</li>\n<li>Attends staff meetings and works collaboratively with other staff in case staffing/review.</li>\n<li>Must have strong writing skills with attention to detail and accuracy of fact reporting.</li>\n<li>Train new Peer Support Specialists how to properly document services provided.</li>\n<li>Completes timely documentation in client’s EHR, using DAP note format for each recovery service provided.<br>All documentation is to comply with overseeing state or federal guidelines.</li>\n<li>Demonstrates ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds.</li>\n<li>Administer UAs and breathalyzers as needed.</li>\n<li>Exhibits competency in personal recovery and use of coping skills.</li>\n<li>Writing crisis stabilization plans for clients in need of immediate help.</li>\n<li>Performs related duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18px; font-weight: bold\">QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Associate's degree in human services or related field - preferred but not required</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\"> If in recovery, one year of continuous sobriety prior to hire and active and continuing participation in a recovery support program, such as a 12-step program.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\"> Must obtain CDC II OR CDC I &amp; NACA I within 4 years of hire.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Must obtain PSP I within 2 years of hire.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\"> Valid Alaska driver’s license and insurable under TRUE NORTH RECOVERY INC’s automotive insurance, which requires a driver to be at least 21 years of age.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\"> Continued employment is contingent upon receipt of a satisfactory state and federal background check.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18px;
