    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong><u>Primary Duties &amp; Responsibilities</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Set up and operate CNC mills, or multi-axis machines</li>\n <li>Interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, GD&amp;T, and technical specifications</li>\n <li>Load and edit CNC programs using G-code and CAM software</li>\n <li>Select tooling, fixtures, feeds, and speeds for optimal machining performance</li>\n <li>Perform first-piece inspections and in-process quality checks</li>\n <li>Troubleshoot machine, tooling, and production issues to minimize downtime</li>\n <li>Maintain tight tolerances and high-quality surface finishes</li>\n <li>Monitor production runs and adjust machine offsets as needed</li>\n <li>Train and mentor junior machinists and machine operators</li>\n <li>Collaborate with engineering and quality teams on process improvements</li>\n <li>Perform preventive maintenance and maintain clean, safe work areas</li>\n <li>Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards</li>\n <li>Document setups, inspections, and production data accurately</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Education &amp; Experience</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High school diploma or GED; technical/trade school required.</li>\n <li>7+ years of CNC machining experience</li>\n <li>Advanced experience with CNC mills.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Skills</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Strong understanding of G-code, tooling, and machining principles</li>\n <li>Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&amp;T</li>\n <li>Experience using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and CMM equipment</li>\n <li>Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills</li>\n <li>Ability to work independently with minimal supervision</li>\n <li>Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality</li>\n <li>Experience with multi-axis machining</li>\n <li>Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma knowledge</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Working Conditions</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Work is performed in a manufacturing or machine shop environment</li>\n <li>Exposure to moving mechanical parts, loud noise, coolants, and lubricants</li>\n <li>Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toe boots, and gloves</li>\n <li>Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting throughout the shift</li>\n <li>Work may involve tight production deadlines and fast-paced operations</li>\n <li>Overtime, weekend, or shift work may be required based on production schedules</li>\n <li>Strict adherence to safety procedures, quality standards, and company policies is required</li>\n <li>Collaboration with machinists, programmers, engineers, maintenance personnel, and quality inspectors is expected</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Physical Requirements</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to stand for extended periods</li>\n <li>Ability to lift up to 50 pounds</li>\n <li>Manual dexterity and visual acuity for precision work</li>\n <li>Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with noise and moving machinery</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Typical Skills</p>\n<p><strong><u>Safety Requirements</u></strong></p>\n<p>All employees are required to follow the site EHS procedures and Coherent Corp.
