    "description": "<p><a href=\"mailto:[email protected]\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"></a>.</p>\n<p>Harrison Western was founded in 1968 and has provided superior design and construction services to the mining, tunneling, slope stability, ground improvement, and deep foundation industries.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>We are seeking an experienced Civil/Geotechnical Driller for projects in the western US. The Civil/Geotechnical Driller operates several types of construction equipment to accomplish construction tasks. HW is seeking a driller with experience with installation of hollow bar soil nails, down hole hammers and shotcrete experience is preferred. HW also performs installation of Tieback Anchors, Micropiles and/or specialty grouting at times. Qualified candidates will have experience with truck and track mounted drill rigs, anchor drilling rigs, anchors, tiebacks, piles, and grouting systems, etc. The Driller may repair and maintain equipment in addition to other duties. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Responsibilities:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Operates, maneuvers or navigates mechanized equipment including hydraulic foundation and geotechnical drilling rigs</li>\n<li>Maintains daily drill logs and equipment inspection forms</li>\n<li>Keeps the drill area safe</li>\n<li>Rigging, hoisting and spotting for equipment movement according to written, verbal and/or signaled instructions </li>\n<li>Performs necessary pre-operation activities including inspection to ensure proper equipment startup and operation on multiple pieces of equipment</li>\n<li>Inspects and maintains equipment to manufacturers specifications, troubleshoots mechanical issues</li>\n<li>Ensures regulated and proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is worn </li>\n<li>Follows all health and safety policy and regulations including company policies, OSHA etc.</li>\n<li>Loads and moves dirt, rocks, equipment or other materials with various pieces of equipment</li>\n<li>Operates equipment to demolish or remove debris</li>\n<li>Takes actions to avoid potential hazards or obstructions, such as utility lines, other equipment or other workers</li>\n<li>Coordinates machine actions with other activities, positioning or moving loads in response to hand or audio signals from crew members</li>\n<li>Locates underground services, such as pipes or wires, prior to beginning work</li>\n<li>When not operating equipment, works with and assists crew in completing assigned task, including, but not limited to, general labor</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Qualifications:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>3 or more years of construction experience required</li>\n<li>2 or more years of Geotechnical/Civil drilling experience required</li>\n<li>Experience with different drilling techniques including hollow-bar, open hole, auger, down-hole-hammer and duplex</li>\n<li>Ability to travel extensively to different jobsites in the United States</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Compensation and Benefits:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Compensation $25.00 - $35.00 per hour DOE</li>\n<li>Per Diem -Based on location</li>\n<li>3 Medical plans to choose from</li>\n<li>Vision and Dental Plans</li>\n<li>8 paid holidays</li>\n<li>401k with Company match that is immediately vested</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>It is the policy of Harrison Western not to discriminate against any employee or any applicant for employment because of age, race, religion, color, disability, sex, physical condition, developmental disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, veteran status, genetic information or national origin.  This policy shall include, but not be limited to, the following:  recruitment and employment, promotion, demotion, transfer, compensation, selection for training including apprenticeship, layoff and termination.  We are an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
