Benton has been in a strategic partnership with Consigli Construction Co., Inc., one of the Northeast’s top general contractors. </span><span>This collaboration leverages </span><span>shared </span><span>expertise, complementary strengths, and national-level resources to deliver best-in-class projects throughout the region.</span><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>We are proud to call the U.S. Virgin Islands our home and to build projects that make a lasting impact on our community - while offering our employees meaningful careers with opportunities to grow. </span></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Position Description  </span></span></p>\n<p>The Estimator will be responsible for complex and large-scale jobs, including conceptual estimates, negotiated bids, budgets, general conditions, systems studies and comparisons, value engineering, subcontractor relations and staying abreast of industry developments applicable to estimating.   </p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Key Responsibilities</span><br></span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Manage the estimating process to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and alignment with client expectations.</li>\n<li>Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, designers, and subcontractors.</li>\n<li>Review drawings, specifications, and related documents to develop accurate cost, labor, and time estimates.</li>\n<li>Perform quantity take-offs and apply unit pricing to establish project values.</li>\n<li>Analyze project scope, identify risks, and develop value engineering solutions.</li>\n<li>Prepare assumptions, qualifications, cost comparisons, and reconciliations.</li>\n<li>Coordinate subcontractor solicitation, evaluation, and selection.</li>\n<li>Develop budgets, GMPs, scope sheets (Exhibit B), and final estimates.</li>\n<li>Ensure quality control and consistency across all bids and estimates.</li>\n<li>Collaborate with internal teams and communicate effectively with all stakeholders.</li>\n<li>Support business development efforts, including presentations and interviews.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(72, 65, 63); font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Essential Skills &amp; Competencies </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Communicate clearly and build strong working relationships, using solid negotiation skills when needed.</li>\n<li>Act with integrity and maintain a strong sense of professional ethics in all aspects of the role.</li>\n<li>Work well both independently and as part of a team, contributing wherever needed.</li>\n<li>Look for ways to improve processes and work more efficiently.</li>\n<li>Pay close attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all deliverables. </li>\n<li>Stay aware of potential project risks and take initiative to address them early.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(72, 65, 63); font-size: 12pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Required Qualifications</span></span><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.</li>\n<li>Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimating.</li>\n<li>Proficiency in estimating software and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.</li>\n<li>Solid understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry practices.</li>\n<li>Working knowledge of applicable building codes, regulations, and safety standards.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Compensation &amp; Benefit</span></span><br></p>\n<p><span>The base salary for this position is one component of J. Benton Construction’s total compensation package. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including a candidate’s skills, experience, education, relevant qualifications, internal equity, and business needs.</span><span> </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">J.
