    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><link href=\"https://static.workforcenow.adp.com/mas/mdf-components/23.23.16/styles/froala_editor.pkgd.min.css\" rel=\"stylesheet\" type=\"text/css\">&nbsp;<link href=\"https://static.workforcenow.adp.com/mas/mdf-components/23.23.16/styles/froala_style.min.css\" rel=\"stylesheet\" type=\"text/css\"><div class=\"fr-view\"><p data-pasted=\"true\"><strong>FLSA Classification:&nbsp;</strong>Non Exempt, Part Time</p><p><strong>Salary Range:&nbsp;</strong>$17/hr + DOQ</p><p><strong>Reports to:&nbsp;</strong>Blue Tides Head Coach and Aquatics Swim Development Coordinator</p><p><strong>Date:&nbsp;</strong>February 2026</p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Summary</strong></p><p>Under the direction of the Head Coach, the Blue Tides Coach is responsible for the athletic and competitive development of age group swimmers, ages 6-18. &nbsp;The mission of the Blue Tides swim team is to provide an environment for competitive swimmers and to embrace team and individual goals in combination with personal growth.</p><p><strong>About Blue Tides Swim Team</strong></p><p>The Blue Tides Swim Team is a year-round competitive swim team affiliated with USA Swimming and for swimmers 6-18 years of age. &nbsp;The team has over 100 swimmers who range in ability from beginner to Zone and Sectional qualifiers. Practices are divided into 3 groups based on age and ability, determined by the head coach with assistance from the coaching staff. &nbsp; During the school year, practices are held nightly between 4:30-9:00pm, and Sunday mornings between 7:00-10:00am. &nbsp; During summer months, doubles are offered to the top group with a mix of swim or dryland workouts in the morning plus regular evening practice. &nbsp;During each season, the team attends 1 or 2 weekend meets per month within the area, and aims to participate in one &ldquo;travel&rdquo; meet a month outside of the state. &nbsp; Our practice facility is located at the Inwood Athletic Club and consists of an 8-lane 25-yard short course pool.</p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Essential Duties</strong></p><p><em>Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential duties.</em></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Coach daily age group swimmers in a safe and time allotted manner.</li><li>Compose and execute quality practices on a seasonal, monthly, and weekly schedule.</li><li>Attend meets per the team schedule which may include out-of-state travel.</li><li>Attend team functions outside of the pool including but not limited to banquets and parades.</li><li>Develop and assist with seasonal dry-land training program.</li><li>Assist in entering swimmers into assigned meets via Hy-Tek, Team Manager, or Team Unify software.</li><li>Work seamlessly with other coaches on staff for the well-being of swimmers and team.</li><li>Communicate effectively with parents on a daily basis on a variety of issues.</li><li>Maintain high respect for the sport, USA-S, and IL-Swim along with great passion overall in addition to a positive working environment conducive to positive morale, individual style, quality, creativity and teamwork.</li><li>Communicate and work together with IAC aquatic staff with lane assignments and deck space organization.</li></ul><ul><li>Maintain USA Swimming Coach certification and seek out additional training and professional development</li><li>Assume prescribed responsibilities in times of emergency as directed by the Pool Managers, Head Guards or Lifeguards&nbsp;</li><li>Contribute to a positive working environment conducive to positive morale, teamwork and effective work practices.</li></ul><p><strong>Hours</strong></p><p>May include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays</p><p><strong>Supervisory Responsibilities</strong></p><p>Blue Tides Participants</p><p><strong>Work Environment</strong></p><p>Most work performed is in a busy, close, and, at times, noisy environment where interruptions prevail. &nbsp; Conditions are warm, humid and chemically treated.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Physical Demands</strong></p><p><em>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
