The Director owns and is accountable for the performance of both GED programs, ensuring that students in the English and Spanish tracks receive a comparable, high-quality experience. This role sets the direction for faculty and program performance across both programs, actively recruits and retains students, and fosters a learning environment grounded in dignity and high expectations. CORE WORKSTREAMS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Instructional Feedback and Faculty Evaluation ● Conduct regular, structured classroom observations and provide teachers and tutors with timely, actionable instructional feedback tied to clear performance expectations. ● Conduct formal performance evaluations for all GED faculty and tutors; document findings and establish clear improvement plans where needed. ● Ensure instructional alignment across English and Spanish GED sections, holding both programs to the same standards and ensuring all students receive a comparable, high-quality learning experience. ● Establish and communicate clear instructional standards and non-negotiables for GED faculty across campuses. ● Build a culture of continuous instructional improvement through regular one-on-one coaching conversations, team debriefs, and reflective practice cycles. ● Hold faculty accountable to program expectations while supporting their growth and instructional effectiveness. Data Analysis and Student and Program Performance Tracking ● Regularly analyze student performance data—including assessment results, pass rates, attendance, and progression—to identify trends and monitor progress toward program outcomes across both the English and Spanish GED programs. ● Use data to make informed, timely programmatic shifts—adjusting instructional strategies, staffing, scheduling, or student supports as needed to improve outcomes. ● Track faculty performance metrics alongside student outcome data to identify patterns connecting instructional practice to student success. ● Prepare and present regular data reports to the CSO and CAO, translating findings into actionable recommendations for program improvement and alignment across campuses. Program Administration and Student Recruitment and Retention ● Lead recruitment efforts to attract new students to the GED program, collaborating with the Intake department and community partners to build enrollment pipelines. ● Implement retention strategies to reduce stop-out rates, using attendance and engagement data to identify at-risk students and connect them to appropriate supports. ● Manage cross-campus program operations including scheduling, class coverage, curriculum materials, and coordination with the Assessment Coordinator on testing functions. ● Support hiring recommendations, staff onboarding, and leave management in coordination with the CRIPCS Management Team. ● Facilitate GED team meetings, support program events, and maintain communication with center staff to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
