    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Provide instructional, technological and clerical support to the learning process.Positions are temporary, hourly positions. Need is for day and evening hours.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>Description of Duties: </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Under the direction of faculty, assist with instruction and supervise class-size groups of students in scheduled sections.</li>\n <li>As time permits, tutor individual students and small groups of students in fundamental and advanced areas of knowledge and facilitate student study groups.</li>\n <li>Assess students’ lab work, lab tests, and performance in the laboratories to report to faculty, thereby contributing to the course grade.</li>\n <li>Provide support, training, tutoring to students through one-on-one interaction, small group sessions, and presentations.</li>\n <li>Set up, demonstrate, oversee faculty designed experiments, simulations, or activities to support acquisition of learning outcomes</li>\n <li>Where applicable, maintain laboratory environment in a safe, clean and orderly condition in compliance with safety procedures and state and federal regulations</li>\n <li>Provide direct assistance in the use of equipment and materials.</li>\n <li>Keep accurate student attendance records.</li>\n <li>Provide input to faculty as requested regarding development and modification of curriculum and laboratory teaching materials.</li>\n <li>Recommend the purchase of lab supplies, materials, equipment and software as needed.</li>\n <li>Assist in conducting student services functions as needed.</li>\n <li>Other related duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>Minimum Qualifications:  Education:\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree required in the field or related field or, in limited circumstances, the equivalent combination of education or experience.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:\n<ul>\n <li>Requires expertise in handling and treatment of harmful chemicals, substances and equipment specific to the lab they work in, as appropriate.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated ability to work with students of varying ages, cultures, and knowledge base.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated ability to communicate ideas, principles and concepts effectively in individual or small group settings.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated computer literacy skills at an intermediate level including ability to utilize and apply Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as specialized software programs and computer applications essential to the learning process. e.g. the College’s Learning Management System and ERP (Colleague).</li>\n <li>Knowledge of information research strategies.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to develop effective working relationships with staff and faculty.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated interpersonal skills to facilitate discussion and learning in individual, small group, and lab/instructional settings.</li>\n <li>Fluency in a second language may be required.</li>\n <li>Discipline specific skills test may be required.</li>\n <li>Ability to travel to other sites as needed.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Preferred Qualifications and Special Considerations: </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Knowedge of Monmouth County and its communities. </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Application Documents</h2>Cover Letter, Other, Resume\n<h2>Pay Rate</h2>$21.36/hr",
