    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><p id=\"isPasted\"><u><strong>ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></u></p><p style=\"line-height: 1;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">The Project Engineer is responsible for a broad range of duties to ensure that projects are planned, executed, and delivered to contractual standards for tolerance and quality. This position will be under the direct supervision of the Project Manager and/or Operations Manager while on a specific project. The position will be under the direct supervision of the Director of Field Engineering when working on multiple projects</span><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">.</span></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities include:</strong></p><p>Pre-Project</p><ul><li>&nbsp;Analyze project plans/specifications</li><li>&nbsp;Perform quantity calculations and data analysis</li><li>Project Preparation</li><li>Create engineering and survey files</li><li>Select and prepare surveying and engineering equipment</li></ul><p>Project Execution</p><ul><li>Supervise and provide quality control for Reporting, Internal (daily logs, production, etc.) and Client reporting</li><li>&nbsp;Supervise and provide quality control for dredge control, surveys, and volume calculations</li><li>Production Management</li><li>Data acquisition and analysis</li><li>Equipment Management</li><li>Inventory, care, and maintenance of survey vessels, survey equipment, and engineering equipment</li><li>Safety and Environmental</li><li>Participate in initiatives that support compliance with State/Federal regulations and improve company programs</li><li>Other duties as assigned</li></ul><p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS</strong></p><p id=\"isPasted\">The employee must have:</p><ul><li>&nbsp;Knowledge of construction contracts; ability to read/analyze plans and specifications</li><li>&nbsp;Hydrographic and conventional survey experience</li><li>Experience with HYPACK and AutoCAD</li><li>Strong analytical and decision-making skills</li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills</li><li>Ability to abide by and enforce company policies and procedures</li><li>Ability to comply with safety rules and regulations</li><li>Ability to work effectively and efficiently</li><li>Ability to work away from home at remote project locations for extended durations</li><li>Reliability and motivation</li><li>Must have a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential)</li><li>Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors</li><li>Competencies: stress management/composure, teamwork, results-driven</li></ul><p><strong>PREFERRED SKILLSPREFERRED SKILLS</strong></p><p id=\"isPasted\">PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS</p><p>The employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable workplace accommodation.</p><p>The individual must also be able to wear and properly utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to work or visit within areas where it is required. This includes hard hats, safety glasses, life vests, respirators, earplugs, steel toed shoes, personal flotation devices (PFD&rsquo;s), or other protective equipment as required by the work performed and the location where the work is being done.</p><p id=\"isPasted\">In addition, a Project Engineer must also be capable of:</p><ul><li>Walking, stepping, climbing, or otherwise moving from one location on the job site to another, which may be of varying heights and access parameters.</li><li>&nbsp;Standing, stooping, twisting, bending, crouching, kneeling, squatting, climbing, or sitting repetitively and/or for long periods of time.</li><li>Repetitive movements by feet, shoulders, arms, wrists, hands, and back in the performance of work.</li><li>Must be able to lift and carry 30lbs individually.
