    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p><strong>Job Overview:</strong></p>\n<p>The Operations Management Trainee program will provide an extensive training experience surrounding the areas of Safety, Quality, and Business Operations.  The training rotation will last up to 2 years. Upon successful completion of the program, you will be provided an opportunity to move into a Supervisor or Manager role. <strong>Your training location and permanent location will vary based on business needs.</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Key Tasks:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Work in different departments alongside supervisors and employees to learn, understand and positively impact production operations.</li>\n <li>Partner with other managers to plan and direct the work of the organization.</li>\n <li>Analyze and understand company reports related to efficiencies, profit, and inventory activity.</li>\n <li>Manage daily production, yields, and downtime in assigned areas.</li>\n <li>Identify trends and recommend proactive or remedial actions to address operational situations.</li>\n <li>Understand governmental law, regulations, and company policies, procedures, and guidelines.</li>\n <li>Work with and through management to develop and implement actions, policies or procedures that protect company assets and profitability.</li>\n <li>Train and develop management skills while leading and motivating others.</li>\n <li>Interpret, apply and/or enforce company policies, programs, rules, regulations, and safety requirements in support of departmental and corporate goals.</li>\n <li>Actively engage in employee safety programs and activities to ensure safety in the workplace.</li>\n <li>Foster an environment conducive to achieving continuous improvement.</li>\n <li>Build strong teams and interact at all levels of the plant, including front line employees.</li>\n <li>Attend or lead presentations, meetings, classes, or training and create projects or presentations; take tests if applicable.</li>\n <li>Interact with vendors, suppliers, customers, and other stakeholders as needed.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>NOTE: this description is not intended to be all-inclusive. An employee may perform other related duties to meet the ongoing needs of the organization; these duties are considered marginal.</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Minimum Qualifications (Required):</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s Degree in operations, management, or related field or an equivalent combination of both education and leadership experience (5-7+ years).</li>\n <li>Willing and able to relocate upon completion of the program.</li>\n <li>Must be able to effectively communicate (read/write/speak) in English.</li>\n <li>Proven ability to problem-solve and think critically.</li>\n <li>Must complete assessment prior to consideration.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>People and relationship focused.</li>\n <li>Prior demonstrated leadership experience in the protein industry. </li>\n <li>Prior internship or experience with the company. </li>\n <li>Self-motivated, proactive individual who will constantly seek improvement opportunities.</li>\n <li>Proficient in use of computers and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point).</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Foundation in mathematics, business, sciences, and/or agriculture.</li>\n <li>Proven problem-solving and critical thinking ability, organizational, and analytical skills.</li>\n <li>Ability to work across multiple functions and with all levels of employees and leadership.</li>\n <li>Ability to work as part of a team or independently.</li>\n <li>Ability to work with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced organization and handle multiple projects to meet deadlines. </li>\n <li>Versatile, flexible, and willing to work with changing priorities.</li>\n <li>Ability to quickly become proficient in software relevant to the job.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Travel Requirement:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>25% (travel is required)</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Equal Opportunity Employer. </strong>All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, veteran status, or any other legally protected status.
