    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Position Summary</span></p>\n<p>The Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADAC) will provide substance use disorder counseling services to individuals , families, and groups while adhering to biblical principals. Conduct assessments, treatment planning, and referrals. Deliver counseling services in accordance with Hope Center Ministries, state, and ethical standards. The Certified Clinical Supervisor (CCS) demonstrates knowledge of and the ability to apply and teach state of the art as well as biblical addictions treatment. This position will work under appropriate clinical supervision when required.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</span> </p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Communicates pertinent information regarding individual patients.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Communicates urgent patient, and emergency information to the Supervisor, as well as to Coordinator and/or National Director.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Provides Coverage for absences, notifying the CCS and/or National Director of any serious or recurring issues.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Orients and trains new staff regarding department policies and procedures, as well as the use of relevant technology, including the electronic patient record.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Works with the CCS to resolve crises with individual patients and/or within the community in a manner that provides therapeutic value.</span><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Qualifications</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">High school diploma or GED is required with Bachelor’s degree preferred</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">One (1) year experience in addictions treatment preferred with a biblical background</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Certified from North Carolina Addiction Specialists Professional Practice Board (NCASPPB)</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">CPRS certification is preferred but not required.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Valid North Carolina License preferred</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft (Outlook, Word and Excel)</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Ability to quickly learn and use various clinical software.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and patient needs in a fast-paced environment.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Ability to analyze complex situations and make crucial decisions while also knowing when consultation is needed.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Ability to be open and culturally sensitive to a wide variety of patients’ experiences.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to effectively speak, read and write in English.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Ability to interact with patients and co-workers in a collaborative and courteous manner while providing guidance, instruction, and/or training.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Ability to model/teach the 12 Steps of Celebrate Recovery</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Reacts productively to change.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Ability to deescalate a person in crisis in a calm and supportive manner; work calmly and professionally in stressful situations and ally with people in crisis.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Ability to present to hostile or disinterested groups.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Preferred:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience providing professional counseling using biblical principals</li>\n<li>Experience in a nonprofit or faith-based environment.<br></li>\n</ul>",
