    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p style=\"margin-left:-.3pt;\">The Production Engineer executes work in compliance the SI’s ZERO EHS Impact Philosophy. The Production Engineer is responsible for partnering with&nbsp;cross-functional teams in the implementation of production improvements programs to optimize production.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>How you will Make an Impact:</p>\n<p><b><u>Production Engineer Functional Role</u></b></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Ensures EHS compliance and continuous improvement in EHS performance</li>\n <li>Provides technical support for Production troubleshooting, problem-solving, and root cause analysis of process issues&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Provides training on and leads advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving processes</li>\n <li>Works collaboratively with Quality on chemistry related issues &amp; method formulation improvements</li>\n <li>Works cooperatively with site engineering to develops project scopes and process engineering packages for new installations&nbsp;and retrofit of facilities</li>\n <li>Provides technical input for maintenance of raw material usage standards (SAP bill of materials); drives analysis and continuous improvement of raw material utilization (yield performance).</li>\n <li>Provides analysis of equipment time utilization (OEE) and drives continuous improvement.</li>\n <li>Responsible for functional safety execution for assigned processes including process hazard analysis (PHA), Layers of Protection Analysis (LOPA), Management of Change (MOC), Pre-Start-up Safety Reviews (PSSR), and completion of Corrective and Preventative Actions (CAPA).</li>\n <li>Provide technical support to basic process control systems (DCS - Yokogawa) to optimize process performance and functionality for the operator.&nbsp; Activities may include:&nbsp; loop-tuning, alarm management, and small configuration tasks.</li>\n <li>Assist production department with creation and maintenance of standard operating procedures (SOPs)</li>\n <li>Leads or assist in the incident and near miss investigation processes to mitigate risk or resolve</li>\n <li>Supports the development of KPIs and goals aligned with the PPMC; monitors KPI performance to identify support needs in addressing performance gaps&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Prepare technical progress reports on active projects and initiatives</li>\n <li>Satisfies all Corporate Quality Requirements</li>\n <li>Practices Responsible Care&nbsp;14001 through active participation&nbsp;in the Responsible Care Management System and adhere to the Guiding Principles of Responsible Care 14001</li>\n</ul>\n<p><b><u>Drive a Culture of Continuous Improvement</u></b></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Partners to drive LEAN/Six Sigma, continuous improvement of processes and operations for increased productivity and efficiency (Operational Excellence)&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Actively participates in a culture of continuous improvement through collaborative engagement and by providing suggestions in meetings and trainings to improves processes and systems</li>\n <li>Ensures work is accomplished through defined, measured, and continuously improved work processes; proactively identifies and leverages best practices developed across SI</li>\n</ul>\n<p><b><u>Ignite Impossible&nbsp;</u></b></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Lives and supports SI’s vision, mission, and values&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Models personal leadership through the exhibition of SI’s Value-Based Behavioral Competencies</li>\n <li>Demonstrates strong personal awareness along and ability to build collaborative and productive relationships cross-functionally&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Actively seek to engage in SI Group’s Culture of Continuous Improvement through personal and professional capability enhancement<b>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</b></li>\n</ul>\n<p><b>Creating Extraordinary Starts With:</b></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>BS of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering, or demonstrated equivalency&nbsp;</span></li>\n <li><span>A minimum of one year of engineering experience in a chemical plant</span></li>\n <li><span>Experience in batch, semi-batch, and continuous processing &amp; controls</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>",
