We are committed to delivering responsive, high-quality service that protects both our customers&rsquo; investment and the integrity of our brands.</p><p><strong>Position Overview:</strong><br>&nbsp;We are seeking a highly skilled and factory-certified Master Outboard Mechanic to join our Marine Service &amp; Warranty Center. This role is responsible for advanced diagnostics, repair, installation, and maintenance of outboard engines and marine propulsion systems, with a primary focus on Mercury and/or Yamaha engines.&nbsp;</p><p>The ideal candidate is a certified Master Mechanic with extensive hands-on experience, strong diagnostic capability, and the ability to perform complex mechanical and electrical repairs independently while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and manufacturer compliance.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Perform advanced diagnostics, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance on Mercury and/or Yamaha outboard engines.</li><li>Complete warranty and non-warranty repairs in accordance with manufacturer specifications and service bulletins.</li><li>Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, fuel, and propulsion system issues.</li><li>Rig, de-rig, and install outboard engines, controls, steering systems, and related components.</li><li>Perform engine commissioning, testing, and sea trials to verify proper operation and performance.</li><li>Ensure all work meets company quality standards, safety requirements, and manufacturer guidelines.</li><li>Maintain accurate and complete service documentation, repair orders, and warranty records.</li><li>Communicate effectively with Service Advisors, Warranty teams, and management regarding technical findings and repair status.</li><li>Assist in mentoring and supporting junior technicians as needed.</li><li>Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.</li></ul><p><strong>Technical Expertise &amp; Service Quality:</strong></p><ul><li>Serve as a technical authority on Mercury and/or Yamaha outboard platforms.</li><li>Interpret and apply technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and service bulletins.</li><li>Utilize manufacturer diagnostic software and tools to identify and resolve issues efficiently.</li><li>Ensure repairs are completed right the first time to minimize repeat service and warranty claims.</li><li>Support continuous improvement in service processes, repair quality, and technical standards.</li></ul><p><strong>Required Experience &amp; Certifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Mercury Master Technician and/or Yamaha Master Technician certification (required).</li><li>Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in outboard engine diagnostics and repair.</li><li>Extensive experience with high-horsepower and multi-engine configurations.</li><li>Strong working knowledge of marine electrical systems, fuel systems, rigging, and propulsion.</li><li>Ability to work independently with minimal supervision on complex repairs.</li><li>Valid driver&rsquo;s license.</li></ul><p><strong>Desired Experience:</strong></p><ul><li>Experience working in a marine service center, warranty facility, or boat manufacturing environment.</li><li>Familiarity with service tracking systems, diagnostic platforms, and digital documentation.</li><li>Experience supporting warranty repairs and manufacturer audits.</li><li>Lead technician or mentoring experience.</li></ul><p><strong>Key Traits:</strong></p><ul><li>Highly detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality and safety.</li><li>Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Reliable, accountable, and self-motivated.</li><li>Professional communicator with the ability to explain technical issues clearly.</li><li>Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-expectation service environments.</li></ul><p><strong>Physical &amp; Work Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in confined spaces.</li><li>Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and work on boats and engines for extended periods.</li><li>Willingness to work in shop and outdoor marine environments.</li></ul><p><strong>Equal Opportunity Employer:</strong><br>&nbsp;Invincible Boat Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
