    "description": "<h2>Job Description</h2>\n<p><strong><u></u> Graffiti Removal Technician</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>$39,309.00- $58,964.00 DOE**</strong></p>\n<p>*All job-related experience must be included on the resume portion for it to be considered in the salary offer.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>For Benefits information click HERE </strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><u>JOB SUMMARY</u></strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>In coordination with the Graffiti Program Supervisor, the Graffiti Technician locates and removes graffiti throughout Salt Lake County.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><u>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS</u></strong></p>\n<p><strong><u> </u></strong></p>\n<p>One (1) year of experience in custodial or construction maintenance environment.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>A valid Driver’s License accepted by the State of Utah is required at the time of hire. A valid Driver’s License issued by the State of Utah must be obtained within six (6) months of hire to operate a County vehicle.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Due to the nature of this position, the successful applicant must pass a required background check through fingerprinting and enrollment in the continuous RAP Back (Record of Arrest and Prosecution Back) program in accordance with current County Human Resources policy requirements. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><u>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS</u></strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em>The following duties and responsibilities are intended to be representative of the work performed by the incumbent(s) in this position and are not all-inclusive. The omission of specific duties and responsibilities will not preclude it from the position.</em></p>\n<p><em> </em></p>\n<p><em>Applicants must be prepared to demonstrate the ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.</em></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Works with Graffiti Program Supervisor to respond to requests for graffiti removal.</li>\n <li>When graffiti is located, identifies and contacts property owner. Obtains permission from private property owners when needed prior to removing the graffiti.</li>\n <li>Determines how best to clean up the damage caused by the graffiti. Removes or covers the graffiti.</li>\n <li>Keeps a log of addresses where graffiti has been located and removed.</li>\n <li>Actively searches out graffiti for removal.</li>\n <li>Picks up and transports paint and graffiti removal supplies to and from the office to the graffiti site.</li>\n <li>Hand delivers an initial letter to the property owner informing them of the County ordinance and requesting the removal of graffiti.</li>\n <li>Hand delivers a second letter and takes a picture of the damage if the property owner has not complied with the County ordinance to remove the graffiti.</li>\n <li>Inspects the property a third time and refers to the Law Enforcement Bureau (LEB) if graffiti has not been removed.</li>\n <li>Assists Graffiti Program Supervisor with public relations and other educational activities. This includes attending training courses and other meetings as needed.</li>\n <li>Submits a variety of required written reports including a daily work site report.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><u>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSA)</u></strong></p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Knowledge of:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Knowledge of hazardous chemicals/solvents that are used for the removal of graffiti.</li>\n <li>Effective communication and public relations techniques.</li>\n <li>Work with computer software related to job specific duties</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Skills and Abilities to:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Work independently under minimal supervision</li>\n <li>Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing</li>\n <li>Professional customer service etiquette</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><u>WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS</u></strong></p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p>This position requires extensive physical labor; lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying objects over 50 pounds (occasionally up to 100 pounds with some assistance): kneeling, bending, sitting and standing.
