          "text": "<p><u><strong>POSITION OVERVIEW:</strong></u></p><p>Our Design Engineer will provide neat, accurate, easy-to-follow designs that meet code requirements, manufacturing restraints and system deadlines that result in least-cost, easy to erect building systems that meet the customer’s needs and company procedures. Building upon foundational engineering experience, this role involves the greater responsibility of project coordination and design optimization within our metal business unit. Engineers are expected to independently manage moderately complex projects, ensuring designs meet structural code requirements, manufacturing standards, and customer expectations.</p><p><u><strong>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></u></p><ul><li>Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision, managing individual projects from start to finish while meeting critical deadlines.</li><li>Good understanding of structural engineering principles, with the ability to apply and adapt company design standards to unique and custom-building conditions.</li><li>Proficiency in using structural design software and a willingness to continuously expand technical knowledge, particularly in the customization of tools for non-standard applications.</li><li>Generate design packages, review drawings and material lists.</li><li>Adhere to project schedules, effectively managing shifting priorities and last-minute revisions to maintain on-time delivery.</li><li>Communicate effectively with cross-functional team members to promptly identify, escalate, and resolve design challenges.</li><li>Coordinate with drafting, estimating, and manufacturing teams to ensure design feasibility and efficiency.</li><li>Exercise sound engineering judgment to ensure public safety, balancing efficiency with appropriate design conservatism.</li></ul>",

          "text": "<p><u><strong>QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLSET:</strong></u></p><p><strong>Design Engineer 2</strong></p><ul><li>Good understanding of structural mechanics and steel design principles.</li><li>Proficient in applicable codes and standards (e.g., IBC, ASCE 7, AISC).</li><li>Knowledgeable in design standards and design software’s</li><li>Under the guidance of senior engineers, this role will involve learning methods to reduce manufacturing and drafting costs, enhance ease of erection, and increase overall value to the customer.</li><li>A key responsibility includes the application and adherence to relevant industry codes and standards to ensure regulatory compliance.</li><li>Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn proprietary systems and codes.</li><li>It is required to expand personal knowledge of the Cornerstone Engineering design standards and learn to adapt the design software to unusual custom conditions required by customers.&#xa0;</li></ul><p><strong>EDUCATION/ADDITIONAL INFORMATION</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or related field).</li><li>Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in metal building design or structural engineering.</li><li>Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification is strongly recommended; active pursuit of Professional Engineer (PE) licensure is preferred, not mandatory.</li><li>Proficient in structural design and modeling software preferred (e.g., RISA, STAAD, AutoCAD, or equivalent).</li></ul><p><strong>Design Engineer 3</strong></p><ul><li>Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with demonstrated competence in structural design and code compliance.</li><li>Seal and sign calculations and/or drawings in various state jurisdictions.</li><li>Proven ability to design metal buildings of medium to high complexity, ensuring efficiency, safety, and adherence to customer specifications.</li><li>Consistently drives productivity improvements while maintaining high standards of accuracy and completeness, with a focus on reducing manufacturing and drafting costs and enhancing efficiency and overall customer value.</li><li>Capable of managing projects through all phases—from initial design through final project completion—ensuring coordination across departments.</li><li>Provides technical oversight, reviews work, and mentors junior engineers to support professional development and maintain quality standards as needed.</li></ul><p><strong>EDUCATION/ADDITIONAL INFORMATION</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or related field).</li><li>Professional Engineering (PE or SE) Licensure</li><li>Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in metal building design or structural engineering.</li><li>Proficient in structural design and modeling software (e.g., RISA, STAAD, AutoCAD, or equivalent).</li></ul><p>&#xa0;</p>",
