MDHA is a housing authority, a community development agency, and a redevelopment agency.</p><p><strong><span style=\"color: rgb(209, 72, 65);\">Position Summary</span></strong></p><p>The Senior Maintenance<ins cite=\"mailto:Kenrick%20Harper\" datetime=\"2025-11-20T13:30\">&nbsp;</ins>Technician <del cite=\"mailto:Jynnifer%20Walker\" datetime=\"2025-11-20T09:33\">&nbsp;</del>is responsible for completing maintenance operations at assigned properties, performing and overseeing repairs, and ensuring all buildings and grounds meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards. &nbsp; This role acts as a team lead for other technicians, models best safety practices and work conduct, and ensures compliance with HUD, local, and agency requirements.</p><p id=\"isPasted\"><br></p><p><strong><span style=\"color: rgb(209, 72, 65);\">Key Duties and Responsibilities</span></strong></p><ul id=\"isPasted\"><li data-pasted=\"true\">Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain complex mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance systems across multiple properties.</li><li>Provide support to the maintenance supervisor to lead, train, and supervise junior maintenance staff and work crews; serving as acting supervisor as needed.</li><li>Manage and document preventive maintenance schedules and work orders using Yardi.</li><li>Ensure timely responses to work orders, tenant emergencies, and make-ready assignments for vacant units.</li><li>Complete and close out all work orders.</li><li>Respond to and work the after-hours work scheduled when assigned.</li><li>Complete regular inspections and assist in preparation for HUD Inspire inspections.</li><li>Purchase supplies, services, and equipment and assist in maintaining inventory.</li><li>Maintain a professional appearance, demonstrate professionalism with residents, peers, and other staff members, and provide excellent customer service.</li></ul><p><strong>Other Job Requirement:</strong></p><p>After-Hours work hours required.</p><p>Timely &amp; Regular work attendance required</p><p><br></p><p><span style=\"color: rgb(209, 72, 65);\">&nbsp;</span><strong><span style=\"color: rgb(209, 72, 65);\">Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required</span></strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Interpersonal Skills</strong></p><p>Interact professionally while maintaining effective working relationships with MDHA Leadership, coworkers, company representatives, residents, and government officials; develop and maintain effective working relationships with residents and members of the public.
