With our knowledgeable staff, continuous growth, and unwavering commitment, we aim to maintain our position as the top landscape design/build company in Central Ohio.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Job Summary</strong></p><p>The Maintenance Foreperson is responsible for the complete care and upkeep of a premier commercial landscape site. This is a hands-on role requiring exceptional attention to detail, time management, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. The Foreperson assists in the performance of all daily landscape maintenance tasks with or without the support of additional crew members, ensuring the property is maintained to the highest standards of safety, aesthetics, and professionalism.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><p><strong>Site Maintenance &amp; Care</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Assist in the performance of all daily landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, edging, trimming, pruning, weeding, seasonal clean-ups, and debris removal, with or without additional crew support.</li><li>Monitor plant health and turf conditions, reporting any concerns promptly.</li><li>Apply mulch, fertilizers, and other treatments as directed.</li><li>Perform minor irrigation checks and adjustments; report major issues to irrigation technicians.</li></ul><p><strong>Client Interaction &amp; Quality Control</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Serve as the primary on-site presence for the client and represent the company with professionalism.</li><li>Conduct self-guided property walks to identify improvement needs or potential concerns.</li><li>Communicate with the Account Manager regarding site needs, weather delays, or enhancement opportunities.</li><li>Maintain high standards of cleanliness, detail, and presentation appropriate for a high-end client.</li></ul><p><strong>Equipment &amp; Safety</strong></p><ul><li>Operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment (mowers, blowers, trimmers, etc.).</li><li>Conduct daily pre-checks and ensure equipment is clean, safe, and functioning properly.</li><li>Follow all safety procedures and report any hazards or incidents immediately.</li></ul><p><strong>Reporting &amp; Documentation</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Track work completed and materials used.</li><li>Report time, issues, and observations through designated apps or forms as required.</li><li>Communicate regularly with supervisors regarding site updates or client feedback.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>2&ndash;5 years of experience in commercial landscape maintenance.</li><li>Strong horticultural knowledge and pride in craftsmanship.</li><li>Ability to work independently and support or coordinate with additional team members when assigned.</li><li>Professional communication skills and customer service mindset.</li><li>Valid driver&rsquo;s license and clean driving record required.</li><li>Pesticide license or irrigation experience a plus but not required.</li></ul><p><strong>Work Environment</strong></p><ul><li>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions, wet or humid conditions, working near moving mechanical parts, and fumes or airborne particles.</li><li>Occasionally exposed to vibration, toxic or caustic chemicals and risk of electric shock.</li><li>Noise level in the work environment is usually loud.</li></ul><p><strong>Physical Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>Often required to lift heavy materials exceeding 50lbs.&nbsp;</li><li>Required to stand, kneel, crouch, crawl, stoop and bend for long periods.</li><li>Require to use hands and reach with arms.</li><li>Frequent speaking.</li><li>The work may be either indoors or outdoors in areas that are dusty, dirty, in the rain and muddy.</li></ul><p><strong>What we offer</strong></p><ul><li>Competitive Medical, Dental &amp; Vision options</li><li>Employer paid life insurance, STD &amp; LTD&nbsp;</li><li>401K and Employer Match</li><li>Ancillary Benefits</li><li>Paid Time Off (PTO)</li><li>Learning and Development opportunities</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>As an EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY / AFFIRMATIVE ACTION EMPLOYER, Environmental Management Inc. does not discriminate against applicants or employees because of their age, race, color, religion, national origin, sex, or on any other basis prohibited by law.
