We stand in the light to revolutionize the conversation around abortion in this country.</p><p>Independent abortion providers like Whole Woman&#39;s Health Alliance provide over 60% of abortions in the United States and are committed to providing abortion care, regardless of barriers. We do this because we believe safe, affordable, quality abortion care should be accessible to all.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Summary</u></strong></p><p>The RN works directly with the physicians and other staff to deliver comprehensive medical care, according to our mission, for the patients at Whole Woman&rsquo;s Health. The RN practices in a safe and proficient manner, always keeping our policies and procedures and the individual patient&rsquo;s needs in mind. &nbsp;The RN provides direct and indirect patient centered care to women and their support people under the guidance of the supervising physician, nurses, and the manager.</p><p>The RN is responsible for assisting within the scope of practice outlined by the Medical Director at our facility. They should maintain a level of professionalism in regards to interactions with colleagues, staff, and patients at all times. RN&rsquo;s are encouraged to promote utilization of resources and initiate improvements. &nbsp;The RN plays an integral role in the aspects of patient and staff safety, and needs to have a basic working knowledge of charting, documentation and Risk Management issues. &nbsp;</p><p>The RN should be a dependable asset to the practice demonstrating an exemplary role in the aspects of punctuality, attendance, accountability, initiative, positive attitude, and team support.</p><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Essential Functions</u></strong></p><p><strong>Clinical Services - Gynecological Care:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Assist in health screenings such as pap smears, pelvic exams, breast checks, STI screening.</li><li>Counsel patients regarding birth control options, including diaphragms and IUDs. Follow up as appropriate.</li><li>Counsel, educate, and provide resources on women&rsquo;s health issues.</li><li>Provide counseling for gynecological problems such as infection, abnormal bleeding, or abnormal pap results.</li></ul><p><strong>Clinical Services - Abortion Care:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Dispensing Mifepristone or Misoprostol under MD orders as per the Whole Woman&#39;s Health medical abortion protocol.</li><li>Assisting the MD in Medical Abortion care visits.</li><li>Performing ultrasounds, assisting in surgery or aftercare.</li><li>Follow up visits for patients experiencing post-abortion problems.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong><u>Experience and General Requirements</u></strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Possess a current RN license in the state the position is located;</li><li>2+years&rsquo; nursing experience as a licensed RN and/or LPN;</li><li>1+ years&rsquo; experience as a Women&rsquo;s Health Nurse, Family Practice Nurse, or relevant Women&rsquo;s Health specialty;</li><li>Certification in Basic Life Support;</li><li>Ideal candidate will be Bilingual &ndash; English and Spanish.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong><u>Required Continuing Education/Training:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Certification in Basic Life Support, biannually</li><li>Training in the recognition of the cardiovascular and respiratory effects of sedatives, as well as the variability of patient response, annually</li><li>Training in/knowledge of emergency supplies, their inventory, their location in the office, and their use.</li><li>Training in/knowledge of the pharmacology of the medications administered.</li><li>Training in/knowledge of OSHA regulations, PPE, and occupational exposure protocols, annually.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong><u>Physical Requirements</u></strong></p><ul><li>Must possess the ability and capability to perform any task in the office.&nbsp;</li><li>Must have excellent visual and hearing acuity.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Compensation/Benefits</u></strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>A competitive salary, commensurate with experience.</li><li>401(k) plan with a 3% company match.</li><li>Flexible work hours and family support programs</li><li>Additional perks, including employee discounts, and virtual team-building activities.</li><li>A culture/environment that is diverse, stimulating, and comprised of passionate and dedicated people.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><u>Please note that this is a working job description that may evolve as the needs of the company change.</u></p><p><em>Whole Woman&rsquo;s Health is an Equal Opportunity Employer, and we welcome applications from women, people of color, and members of the LBGTQIA+ community.
