    "description": "<h2>Job Description</h2>\n<p></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Spectrum Healthcare Resources has potential opportunity for a civilian<strong> Psychiatric - Mental Health Nurse Practitioner </strong>at<strong> Fort Bliss </strong>in <strong>El Paso, Texas.</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Position Highlights:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>0700-1900 Sunday-Saturday (4-5 shifts not to exceed 80 hours in a 14-day work period) </li>\n <li>Competitive compensation and a full complement of benefits</li>\n <li>Give back & care for our Nation's military</li>\n <li>Supportive team environment</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Provide a full range of outcome-based nurse practitioner services in accordance with privileges granted by the MTF (e.g., supervise and provide general screening and medical care and examinations of patients for routine, acute and chronic conditions involving all organ systems; provide immunizations; diagnose, treat, and counsel patients as indicated)</li>\n <li>Technically direct and teach other staff, provide evidenced-based educational lectures and participate in in-service training to staff members.</li>\n <li>Diagnose and treat patients with common acute conditions, chronic illnesses, or minor trauma within accepted protocols, clinical practice guidelines, Nurse Practice Acts, and/or in consultation with a physician. </li>\n <li>Promote preventive care and health maintenance including annual physicals, positive health behaviors and self-care through both formal and individual education and counseling.</li>\n <li>Communicate and collaborate with a diverse group of people for the purpose of informing the healthcare team of plans/actions, for teaching/education to benefit the patient/family and organization. </li>\n <li>Recognize conditions that require isolation and ensure universal precautions are used in all patient encounters. </li>\n <li>Attend staff meetings to provide case discussion, continuing education, and continuous quality improvement and safety.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Position Requirements:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Degree: </strong>Master's degree in nursing.</li>\n <li><strong>Education: </strong>Graduate from an academic program, within the nursing specialty field of study that is accredited by a regional or national nursing accrediting agency recognized by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE)</li>\n <li><strong>Equivalency Determination Request: </strong>The Contractor may not request an equivalency determination as a substitute for education requirements on this labor category.</li>\n <li><strong>Experience:</strong> Possess a minimum of one year of experience within the last two years working as a full-time Nurse Practitioner – Psychiatric - Mental Health.</li>\n <li><strong>Certification: </strong>Certified as  a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or the recognized national nursing certification organization for the specialty area of practice as appropriate</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p></p>\n<p><strong>About El Paso, Texas</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>As the sixth-largest city in Texas, El Paso is known for a rich history, diverse culture, and stunning natural landscapes.
