Headquartered in Fremont, California, Amprius maintains an advanced R&D lab and a MWh scale manufacturing facility dedicated to silicon anode and cell production. For more information about the company, please visit www.amprius.com.\n\n Summary \n\nAmprius has an immediate opening for Battery Assembly Technician!  The Battery Assembly Technician uses various equipment and hand tools to produce Amprius Technologies’ proprietary silicon anode Li Ion cells. The candidate must be reliable and able to work well in a team and have experience with mechanical assembly.   This is a 6 months TEMP role. \n\n Job Responsibilities\n\n Assemble battery components according to given specifications.\n Test completed batteries to ensure they meet quality and performance standards.\n  Inspect materials and components for quality issues using tools such as micrometer, mass scale, digital multi meter, and cliper.\n Record production data and report any issues to the supervisor/manager.\n Collaborate with team members to meet daily production targets.\n Operate and maintain assembly line equipment.\n Troubleshoot minor technical issues with assembly equipment.\n Maintain a clean and organized work environment.\n Follow company’s safety protocols.\n\n Requirements\n\n Experience with (OR willingness to learn) using hand tools such as die punch, rotary tool, cutters.\n Manual dexterity and good hand eye coordination.\n Mechanical aptitude and experience with hand tools.\n Basic understanding of assembly line processes.\n Basic computer skills for accurate data entry.\n Attention to detail and focus on quality.\n Ability to work in a fast paced environment.\n Willingness to adhere to safety protocols and workplace policies.\n Team work oriented mind set.\n\n Education, Certifications, Experience \n\n High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.\n One (1) year of experience as an equipment operator or technician in one of the following industries: Semiconductor, solar, battery, electronics, or automotive.\n\n Physical Demands & Work Location: \n\n Fremont, CA: This is an on site job. Reliable commute or planning to relocate before starting work is required.\n Be able to lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds.\n May be required to stand, sit, squat, bend, kneel, twist, crawl, reach, lift, balance, push, and pull.\n Adhere to safety protocol and use personal protective equipment (PPE) including, but not limited to, a lab coat, gloves, safety glasses, face mask, respirator and safety shoes.\n\n Work Schedule \n\n Alternate Workweek Schedule (AWS): 3 days x 12 hour / 4 days x 12 hour every other week.\n Shift timings from 5:30 am to 6:00 pm\n\n Benefits\n\n Salary: $22.00 $26.00 per hour.
