We work with customers to find options that are beneficial to their specific needs, which is why we are recognized by our customers as one of the community’s consumer finance companies of choice.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Benefits:</strong></p>\n<p>For information regarding our benefits, please visit: https://www.marinerfinance.com/careers/benefits/ </p>\n<h2>Job Details</h2>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities and Duties:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Exercise lending authority when reviewing and approving applications and use product knowledge in offering loan solutions that meet customer needs.</li>\n <li>Manage the retention and maintenance of existing accounts, including lending and collecting, to achieve branch sales and delinquency targets/goals.</li>\n <li>Consistently and regularly coach branch staff by providing actionable feedback in order to achieve branch goals, minimize turnover, and create a positive branch environment.</li>\n <li>Prepare and submit reports reflecting branch activity and growth as needed.</li>\n <li>Develop additional business by networking with local establishments, such as retail and automobile businesses, and building strong community relations.</li>\n <li>Implement internal branch auditing procedures, which properly control all negotiable items and company records held within the branch.</li>\n <li>Manage approval of exceptions to policy as authorized by management based on the nature of exception, retention needs, and related factors. Use problem-solving skills to resolve product, service, and policy-related obstacles for customer.</li>\n <li>Exercise authority to ensure policies and procedures are met when monitoring/approving monthly expenses using annual business plan.</li>\n <li>Promptly investigate and thoroughly work to resolve customer and employee inquiries and complaints.</li>\n <li>Attract high-quality and diverse talent, coordinate and interview prospective candidates, and make recommendations to management for vacancies.</li>\n <li>Consistently display and encourage behaviors and results consistent with Mariner Finance values such as carrying out Mariner’s mission statement and Customer Obsession (GLAD).</li>\n <li>Play an integral role in developing Mariner Finance’s next line of successful managers and leaders such as Branch Manager Trainees, Operations Manager Trainees, and others, as assigned.</li>\n <li>Participate and actively engage in company meetings and professional development activities to keep abreast of current trends and changing environment to enhance competency.</li>\n <li>Build and drive positive, effective, and productive company practices in multiple branch sites such as filling in for relief assignments or helping with New Branch Openings.</li>\n <li>May perform additional functions depending on market demand and branch staffing in order to provide consistent quality customer service. Other functions include but are not limited to: collecting payments, completing and processing loan applications, contacting customers for late payments, cashiering, answering phones, photocopying, filing, etc.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><em>This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or new ones may be assigned at any time or without notice.</em></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Required Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Minimum of five (5) years of related experience in the Consumer Lending and/or Financial Services industry.</li>\n <li>Two (2) years of experience as a Branch Manager I for Mariner Finance, LLC or any affiliate or subsidiary, or two (2) years demonstrated successful managerial experience.</li>\n <li>Successful experience managing branch portfolio with annual average net receivables above $6M.</li>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in a discipline such as Business, Accounting, Finance, Administration, Economics; or military rank (e.g., E-4, W1, or O1 and above). Additional, applicable years of experience may be substituted for degree.</li>\n <li>Reliable transportation required.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated managerial experience in setting work priorities for, developing, mentoring, and appraising employee’s work performance.</li>\n <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and company personnel.</li>\n <li>Highly proficient in Microsoft Office and financial services programs.</li>\n <li>Ability to complete essential duties/functions in a timely, accurate manner.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated problem-solving skills and interpersonal skills in demanding situations.</li>\n <li>Must obtain applicable, required licenses to sell insurance products that are offered to customers by the branch.</li>\n <li>Must perform work related tasks at the assigned branch location except in the event of an emergency as determined by the company in consultation, as necessary, with applicable regulatory agencies.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> </strong><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bilingual fluency in Spanish/English.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Hours of Work:</strong></p>\n<p>Monday, Wednesday, Thursday: 9:00AM-5:00PMTuesday: 9:00AM-7:00PMFriday: 9:00AM-5:30PM </p>\n<p>Saturday hours required seasonally and as business needs require.</p>\n<p>To the extent permitted by law, the Company may, in its sole discretion, change the work schedule to address business needs. Work hours will depend on the business hours of the time zone serviced.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Physical Demands:</strong></p>\n<p>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit for extended periods; reach with hands and arms; operate computer and phone systems; and talk or hear.
