Overview USU and USDA Researchers Dr. Moria Robinson and Dr. Lindsie McCabe (USDA Pollinating Insects Research Unit) are hiring undergraduate research assistants to work in plant-insect research lab ~20-29 hrs/week during the academic year and/or summer. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. U.S. work authorization is required for the duration of employment. Responsibilities This technician position will support field and laboratory research focused on the behavior and ecology of bees and their host plant interactions. The incumbent will be responsible for collecting data, conducting behavioral observations, performing X‑ray imaging, specimen pinning, and assisting with the processing and organization of incoming research data. Candidates should possess strong attention to detail, the ability to work effectively in outdoor conditions, and an interest in advancing entomological research. Qualifications Be able to work the required hours/week and have an interest in plant-insect interactions. Attention to detail, organizational skills, communication skills, and ability to follow directions are necessary for this position. Comfort asking questions and clarifying directions is a must. Prior experience with plants and/or insects is a benefit but not a requirement.
