Additionally, internal auditing both from a business process and manufacturing compliance perspective will be a major activity.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>High standards of customer engagement will be an essential part of maintaining existing and securing new market/business opportunities, along with supporting group standardization initiatives aimed at underpinning future scalability.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>Although the role will be reporting to the regional director, the individual will be expected to operate at a level that regularly interacts with senior management of the site.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p><ul><li>Degree level Engineering qualification preferred but not essential</li><li>Internal or Lead Auditor to ISO9001</li></ul><p><strong>MANDATORY RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p><ul><li>Adherence to all Company policies, management systems and standard operational procedures, including legal responsibilities in relation to Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality</li><li>Working positively to develop and foster good working relationships with colleagues and contracted personnel in order to maintain a culture of mutual respect and dignity</li><li>Promote and display the G&amp;H values: Customer focus, Integrity, Action, Unity, Precision</li></ul><p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p><ul><li>Underpin the achievement of ISO9001, ensuring standards are compliant, maintained and meet with business needs in support of a more robust infrastructure.</li><li>Support Quality department on going maintenance and upkeep of the business management system to ensure the Company maintains compliance to ISO9001 and other subscribed requirements.</li><li>Play an active role coordinating multi-functional projects for business system continuous improvements.</li><li>Performing internal audits to proactively determine quality risks within our processes and work with appropriate management/staff to ensure satisfactory mitigation.</li><li>Provides mentoring, coaching and suggests corrective actions as necessary</li><li>Develops and deploy strategic plans in which business goals and objectives are met.</li><li>Providing a mature customer facing lead role in ensuring effective issues management from initiation to closure of customer returns.</li><li>Approve incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual inspection and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials</li><li>Approve in-process production first off activities by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments to production supervisor/operator</li><li>Conduct visual &amp; automated inspection activities on part finished &amp; finished goods</li><li>Document inspection results by completing reports and logs</li><li>Work closely with all functional areas to identify supply related issues and work closely with Purchasing in closing the route cause with the supplier.</li><li>Supporting the Global Suppler Quality team in the management of new and existing supply chains.</li><li>Provide analysis and regular tracking of issues related to material non-conformance.</li><li>Utilising standard problem techniques/tools to address route causes and chairing MRB meetings.</li><li>Supporting the NPD/NPI gate review activities.</li><li>Coordinating the calibration of measurement equipment.</li><li>Coordinating the concessions/permits along with analysis and progression of changes to further reduce.</li><li>Supporting customer and 3rd party audits.</li></ul><p><strong>PERFORMANCE MEASURES</strong></p><ul><li>Customer returns</li><li>Supplier related problems</li><li>Internal audit schedule adherence</li></ul><p><strong>PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES</strong></p><ul><li>Self-driven with the ability to set own priorities and work independently</li><li>Challenging, but with high level of emotional intelligence</li><li>Attention to detail with excellent analytical skills</li><li>Strong influencing, communication, facilitation and interpersonal skills</li></ul><p><strong>SKILLS AND ABILITIES</strong></p><ul><li>Previous experience within a quality engineering role, <strong>ideally within an optical technical development/manufacturing environment</strong></li><li>Confident in generating / remodelling / facilitating business processes</li><li>Performing audits that include; supplier audits, process compliance audits through to verifying the effectiveness of the Business processes</li><li>Detailed understanding of root cause analysis tools and engaging with Engineering staff to identify and verify preventive action</li><li>Mature Customer focused approach handling issues with urgency</li><li>Proven track record with deployment of Continuous Improvement projects using a structured problem solving methodology</li><li>Working level demonstration of Lean Six Sigma is essential</li><li>Metrology methods</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills</li><li>Awareness of ISO 9001 &amp;
