Duties require stringing up machine,<br>adjusting traverse and tensions during start up and while product is running.<br>May run two (2) machine at same time.&nbsp;</span></p><p><span style=\"font-family: georgia,serif;\">&nbsp; ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: &nbsp;</span></p><ul><li dir=\"auto\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia,serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Operates machine to draw rod or wire down to various sizes.</span>&nbsp;</span></li><li dir=\"auto\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia,serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Loads wire on supply payoff, splices wire with electric or manual butt welder, pulls wire<br>&nbsp;supply to draw block cabinet, strings wire around draw blocks.</span>&nbsp;</span></li><li dir=\"auto\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia,serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Installs drawing dies in appropriate location, wraps finish capstan, threads wire guides and<br>&nbsp;annealer, wraps wire around buffer tower, attaches wire to dummy reel on &nbsp;the outside of take-up basket.</span>&nbsp;</span></li><li dir=\"auto\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia,serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">When wire beaks occur, operator restrings machine according to wire drawing operator&rsquo;s procedure<br>&nbsp;manual.&nbsp;</span>&nbsp;</span></li><li dir=\"auto\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia,serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">After completion of a basket, cut and check wire samples for size, roundness and elongation and record results on process control charts.&nbsp;</span>&nbsp;</span></li><li dir=\"auto\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia,serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Completes identity tag with correct information and places tags on basket.&nbsp;</span>&nbsp;</span></li><li dir=\"auto\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia,serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Totally responsible for quality of end product</span>&nbsp;</span></li><li dir=\"auto\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia,serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Must also be able to use a micrometer to measure the diameter size, conduct visual checks,<br>&nbsp;identify and resolve problems.</span> &nbsp;</span></li><li dir=\"auto\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia,serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Perform other duties as directed by Supervisor.</span>&nbsp;</span></li></ul><p><span style=\"font-family: georgia,serif;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;</span></p><p><span style=\"font-family: georgia,serif;\">SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: &nbsp;</span></p><p><span style=\"font-family: georgia,serif;\">Read,write, perform mathematical calculations, understand verbal or written instructions, provide verbal or written information to others, work continuous shift if requested, work scheduled or unscheduled overtime if requested, maintain a good attendance and punctuality record, follow all safety rules and maintain housekeeping in area of responsibility, work well with others, and distinguish colors correctly. &nbsp;</span></p><p><span style=\"font-family: georgia,serif;\">Material Used: Aluminum and Copper rod, (5/16&rdquo; diameter), break down wire n 10 or 12 gauge, copper wire in various gauges, solution used as a coolant, water soluble oil used in annealing, control charts for recording characteristics of operations.&nbsp;</span></p><p><span style=\"font-family: georgia,serif;\">&nbsp;Must be able to multi task.&nbsp;</span></p><p><span style=\"font-family: georgia,serif;\">This position requires standing and walking for most of the shift. The position duties require bending,<br>lifting, pushing and pulling. Usage of material handling equipment available when needed.
