    "description": "<p>GMF Steel Group is seeking a competitive, detail-oriented erection estimator with a strong understanding of construction processes and a passion for delivering accurate, high-quality work. This role is ideal for a driven professional who wants to grow within a fast-paced steel company.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><em>This is not a remote position. It is required to be in-person in Lakeland, FL.</em></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Responsibilities:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prepare proposals including structural steel, miscellaneous metals, detailing, installation/erection, and various other special conditions</li>\n<li>Take-off of materials, shop labor, field labor, equipment requirements</li>\n<li>Understand and foresee complex fabrication and erection scenarios, and adjust to account for them in bid proposal</li>\n<li>Evaluate all contract documents including specifications, drawings, general conditions, and special provisions</li>\n<li>Determine quantities and types of members required to complete project scope</li>\n<li>Determine shop operations along with the total time for each required to complete project scope in the most efficient manner</li>\n<li>Determine practical and efficient erection schemes along with the labor force and equipment required</li>\n<li>Note and reference any areas of the bid documents that require additional explanation and if allowances or exclusions must be noted</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Qualifications:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>5+ years of experience, preferred </li>\n<li>Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or business, preferred</li>\n<li>Experience in Commercial General Contracting Estimating preferred</li>\n<li>Drafting experience, preferred</li>\n<li>AutoCAD experience, preferred<br></li>\n<li>Ability to read and understand construction plans</li>\n<li>Knowledge of Microsoft Office full suite, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel</li>\n<li>Written and oral communication skills</li>\n<li>Strong time-management and organizational skills required</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Salary:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>$90,000 - $140,000/year</li>\n<li>Dependent upon experience</li>\n<li>Eligibility for performance bonuses<br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Benefits/Perks:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Health, Vision, Dental, Life Insurance, and a 401k Match Program</li>\n<li>Paid Time Off</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">About GMF Steel Group:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>GMF Steel Group is an Inc 5000 company and one of the fastest growing Steel firms in the Southeastern US.</li>\n<li>GMF Steel Group is headquartered in Lakeland, Florida with offices in Tampa, Panama City, and Concord, NC.</li>\n<li>GMF Steel Group Fabrication Plant is located in Lakeland, Florida and produces over 20,000 tons of Structural Steel annually with the latest BIM fabrication technology.</li>\n<li>GMF Steel Group services the Southeastern US and Gulf Coast with over 300 employees across 4 offices.</li>\n<li><span>GMF Steel Group core sectors of the Structural Steel market include Amusement Parks, Stadiums, Arenas, Offices, Education, Healthcare, Hospitality, Retail, Light and Heavy Industrial projects.</span></li>\n<li>GMF incorporates the latest technology through Building Information Modeling (BIM) to integrate all facets of Steel Construction and 4-D modeling.</li>\n<li>GMF Steel Group is an AISC Certified Fabricator and Erector.</li>\n<li>GMF Steel Group takes pride in recruiting and developing the best talent through education of the latest technology and best practices.</li>\n</ul>",
