    "requisitionDescription": "<p data-pasted=\"true\"><strong>Summary</strong></p><p>The International Spy Museum is a private nonprofit museum dedicated to educating the public about the world of espionage and intelligence through exhibits, educational programs, special events, and public outreach. The Security Department is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to support the development of a security dashboard that will serve as a documentation hub and training portal for Museum staff. The Security Intern will also assist with the creation of a daily activity report while gaining hands-on exposure to security operations in a museum environment.</p><p>This internship provides the opportunity to learn about physical security, security technology, and project management, offering practical experience in systems planning, technical infrastructure, and operational security workflows. The intern will work closely with Security leadership to support modernization, training, and knowledge-sharing initiatives within the Security Department.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong> (Subject to Adjustment by Mutual Agreement)</p><p>Working closely with the Security department leadership, this work will focus on the following projects and deliverables:</p><p><strong>Security Dashboard &amp; Training Portal Development</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Design and structure a SharePoint based security dashboard to host policies, procedures, training materials, and video documentation.</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Help organize existing security documentation into clear, user-friendly formats suitable for a training portal.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Support the development of role-based training content (e.g., officer onboarding, supervisor reference guides, emergency response quick guides).&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Participate in basic usability testing and refinement of the dashboard layout and navigation.</li></ul><p><strong>Daily Activity Report</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Assisting the creation and refinement of a Daily Activity Report using Microsoft Access, including form design, data entry workflows, and basic reporting features to support security operations.</li></ul><p><strong>Project Management &amp; Operational Security</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Assist with project planning tasks such as timelines, task tracking, and documentation for security-related initiatives.</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Participate in security briefings, drills, or training sessions as appropriate.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Observe day-to-day security operations to better understand risk management, situational awareness, and museum-specific security challenges.</li></ul><p><strong>Security Technology &amp; Infrastructure Support</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Gain hands-on exposure to physical security systems, including camera layouts, access control concepts, and monitoring workflows.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Participate in documenting camera coverage maps, system diagrams, and technical infrastructure.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Opportunities to support ongoing security technology projects, including upgrades, system evaluations, and asset tracking.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Education Requirement</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">This internship is open to anyone currently pursuing their post-secondary pathway, including undergraduates, graduate students, and persons seeking a professional certificate or an associate degree.</li></ul><p><strong>Our Ideal Candidate Will Identify as:</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Interested in security, cybersecurity fundamentals, information systems, criminal justice, emergency management, or related fields.</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint, including site design, page layouts, or content management.</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Familiarity with Microsoft Access, including databases, forms, and queries.</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Dependable, responsible, and self-motivated.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Professional and approaches challenges with a positive attitude.</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">An effective communicator who enjoys working in a team environment but can also easily tackle independent projects.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Hours and Compensation</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Fall Internship&nbsp;</li></ul><ul style=\"list-style-type: circle;\"><li style=\"margin-left: 72px;\">Up to240 hours over 10-12 weeksbeginningapproximatelyAugust27, 2026.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left: 72px;\">Weekly hours and schedule will be determined based on department needs and the students&rsquo; academic/work schedule.</li></ul><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">This is a paid internship with DC hourly minimum wageof$18.40.The internship does not entitle, nor guarantee, the intern employment at the conclusion of the internship.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">The International Spy Museum offers academic credit for this internship.
