Guided by tikanga Māori, we uphold the mana and unique identity of every individual we support, creating culturally safe, inclusive, and empowering environments for tāngata to live their best lives.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>We’re looking for an experienced Health &amp; Safety Business Partner to help shape how health, safety, and wellbeing is led across our organisation. You’ll work alongside senior leaders and managers, influence decision-making, and support the embedding of health and safety into everyday practice.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Location</span>: Te Roopu Taurima Support Office, 650 Great South Road, Ellerslie 1051<br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Hours of work</span>: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 0830-1700</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em>Note: Work visa support is not available for this role.</em></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">About the role:</span></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>As our Health &amp; Safety Business Partner, you’ll work across all parts of the organisation to support practical, consistent approaches to health, safety, and wellbeing.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>You’ll provide trusted advice on risk and safety matters, support sound decision-making, and help ensure health and safety is embedded in planning and service delivery. You’ll also play a key role in incident response, system improvement, and ongoing learning across the organisation.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Duties include:</span></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n<li>Partner with leaders to embed health, safety, and wellbeing into planning, decision-making, and everyday practice</li>\n<li>Provide trusted advice on complex risks and serious incidents, including supporting investigations and identifying practical improvements</li>\n<li>Use data and insight to identify trends, highlight emerging risks, and support informed decision-making</li>\n<li>Support and strengthen health and safety systems, processes, reporting, audits, and engagement with regulators such as WorkSafe and ACC</li>\n<li>Build capability across leaders and Health and Safety representatives, providing guidance, reporting, and clear escalation of serious risk where needed</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p> <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">About you:</span></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>You’re confident partnering at all levels of the organisation and comfortable having courageous conversations when safety matters.
