If who we are and what we do resonates with you, we invite you to join our high-performance team!\n<h2>Job Summary</h2>Designs, develops, implements and oversees the organization's environmental, health and safety programs and procedures to safeguard employees and surrounding communities and to ensure that all facilities are in compliance with regulations | Responsibilities are within the Environmental Health and Safety Function as a generalist or in a combination of Disciplines\n<h2>Impact of the Role</h2>\n<h3>General Profile</h3>\n<ul>\n <li>Requires in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge in own job discipline and basic knowledge of related job disciplines </li>\n <li>Solves complex problems </li>\n <li>Works independently, receives minimal guidance</li>\n <li>May lead projects or project steps within a broader project or may have accountability for on-going activities or objectives </li>\n <li>Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience</li>\n <li>Consistent exercise of discretion & judgment</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Essential Functions</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Outlines and implements policies or programs to educate and promote employee health and safety or environmental compliance.   </li>\n <li>Delivers training programs educating staff on environmental concerns or health and safety risks found in the organization.    </li>\n <li>Communicates regularly with management and administration regarding the status of environmental initiatives.   </li>\n <li>Ensures that training records, health/safety manuals or handbooks, incident/accident reports, or other documentation are appropriately maintained.    </li>\n <li>Tracks and documents accidents to understand causes and recommend changes to prevent future accidents.  </li>\n <li>Monitors known health, safety, or environmental hazards, such as noise, air, or wastewater pollution levels.    </li>\n <li>Coordinates inspection of facilities, vehicles, or equipment and processes recommending corrections or additional precautions to ensure compliance to established regulations.  </li>\n <li>Communicates facility-specific emergency response or evacuation plans.   </li>\n <li>Has a broad and current knowledge of all government and applicable industry safety regulations.  </li>\n <ul>\n  <h2>Required Qualifications</h2>\n  <ul>\n   <li><strong>Required education and experience:</strong> Associate's Degree and 5-7 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience</li>\n   <li><strong>Critical professional related technical skills; computer skills:</strong> Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)</li>\n  </ul>\n  <h2>Preferred Qualifications</h2>\n  <ul>\n   <li><strong>Preferred education and experience:</strong> Bachelor's Degree</li>\n   <li><strong>Discipline/Major:</strong> Environmental Health and Safety or related discipline preferred</li>\n   <li><strong>Knowledge, skills & abilities:</strong> Safety best practices. Safety communications. Safety inspections. Safety investigations. Safety policies and procedures. Safety training. Inspection documentation.</li>\n  </ul>\n  <h2>Physical Requirements</h2>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.</li>\n   <li>Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.</li>\n   <li>Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.</li>\n  </ul>\n  <h2>Travel Requirements</h2>Up to 25% travel likely.\n  <h2>Pay Range (USD)</h2>$88,850 - $120,200 \n  <h2>Pay Transparency Statement</h2>The salary range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum for salary for this position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, internal equity, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the range during the hiring process.\n  <h2>Additional Compensation</h2>Hired applicant may be eligible to participate in the Company’s Gain Sharing Program.\n  <h2>Benefits</h2>Employees are eligible for medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, and basic life insurance as well as pre-tax spending accounts.
