This may include logging, batching, and cutting, mounting and staining procedures.</p><p>Processes, embeds, cuts, stains, and coverslips tissue preparations to provide material to pathologist.<br>Evaluates quality of sections/slides before giving to pathologist.<br>Processes cytologic material.<br>Performs special stains as requested.<br>Performs clinical examination (grossing) of tissue as assigned.<br>Prepares materials that need to be sent to reference labs.<br>Other duties as assigned.<br>&nbsp;</p><p>Qualifications:<br>Education:</p><p>Must take and pass histotech (HT) ASCP or equivalent certification exam<br>Minimum of associates degree in chemical or biological science, or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution, or otherwise meeting regulatory requirements. &nbsp;<br><br>&nbsp;</p>",
