Responsibilities
Experienced performing ASCE 38-22 Quality Level A Utility Test Holes and Quality Level B utility designating
Supervise field crews for utility designating and utility test hole projects
Perform quality control checks of field work for utility designating and test holes.
Mentor and train field staff
Read and interpret utility maps and engineering plans to identify and mark underground utility locations
Operate different electronic detection equipment, to locate and mark under-ground facilities within prescribed accuracy limits.
Provide accurate documentation and or sketches related to all locates completed
Experienced in set-up of traffic control for utility test holes.
Qualifications
10+ years experience locating utilities
Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather and all types of field conditions
Physical demands include extensive walking and bending. The employee must have the ability to open manhole covers and or other structure of varying weights
Ability to read and understand directional maps, topographic maps and various types of utility prints
Ability to use and interpret various pieces of electromagnetic utility locating equipment
Ability to multi-task, i.e. make research calls for one project while commuting to another project, coordinate with crew members on various jobs
