(GA-ASI), an affiliate of General Atomics, is a world leader in proven, reliable remotely piloted aircraft and tactical reconnaissance radars, as well as advanced high-resolution surveillance systems.<br>&nbsp;<p>We are looking for a Systems Engineer to join our Requirements and Architecture Engineering team in support of MQ-9B Programs in Poway, CA.&nbsp; This is an exciting opportunity to apply your system engineering expertise to provide cutting-edge technology for our customers, with growth opportunities supporting this expanding customer base.<br><br><strong>DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong><br><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>Perform System Engineering activities primarily focused on requirements management for Unmanned Aerial Systems.</li><li>Conduct system engineering activities for one or more project efforts to include requirements development for design, development, and integration.</li><li>Perform analysis of stakeholder requirements to decompose and allocate requirements to lower levels of specifications (system/segment/subsystem/component). Ensure bi-directional traceability between requirements at all levels of specification.<ul><li>Elicit stakeholder needs, analysis and define requirements; to include allocation, decomposition, and bi-directional traceability.</li></ul></li><li>Support the development of test plans and test procedures.</li><li>Manage the verification and validation of system requirements through different test phases.</li><li>Determine system impacts based on functional analysis to a proposed change.</li><li>Provide guidance on conflicting design/development requirements, difficult coordination requirements, and special requirements.</li><li>Interface effectively with internal and external personnel using strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.</li><li>Participate in technical reviews, meetings, system-level integration events.</li><li>Collaborate with MQ-9B leadership, customer and design teams to resolve system-level issues and maintain alignment with program needs.</li><li>Employ standard System Engineering practices and methodology utilizing available tools and resources, including:<ul><li>Requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS, JAMA, Excel)</li><li>Verification management tools (e.g., Integrity Lifecycle Manager)</li><li>Data management tools (e.g., SharePoint, Teamcenter)</li><li>Documentation tools (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite) and other similar tool alternatives.</li></ul></li><li>Manage Systems Engineering schedules and allocated budgets.</li><li>Additional duties include the development and presentation of technical material for review and presentation of reports at engineering meetings.</li><li>Promote a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence across the systems engineering organization.</li></ul><br>We recognize and appreciate the value and contributions of individuals with diverse backgrounds and experiences and welcome all qualified individuals to apply.<br><br><br><strong>Highlights Working For GA-ASI:</strong><ul><li>This position is eligible for the Individual Compensation Program (ICP) bonus.</li><li>This position is eligible for a hybrid work environment (up to 1 day/week remote work from home) pending project needs.</li><li>Outstanding benefits including: 401(k) (with company match), company pension, on site cafeterias, gyms and outdoor recreation centers, Employee Recreation Association (ERA) which gives unlimited access to discounted tickets for amusement parks such as San Diego Zoo and Safari Park.</li><li>Outstanding work environment: team-centric, value and respect all contributors, great growth potential within GA-ASI project engineering and GA-ASI as a whole.</li></ul>",
