Title: Program Coordinator Reports to: Program Officer Status: Contractor Location:  Yerevan, Armenia (Home Office) Foundation Overview: The Max Foundation is a leading global health nonprofit organization dedicated to accelerating health equity. Role Summary: The Program Coordinator (PC) will manage the day-to-day operations of Max’s program locally, as well as administrative and logistics requirements. They will work directly with cancer and other rare disease patients and healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and pharmacists, to ensure that patients have access to medication, care, and support. The PC will support partners by facilitating the importation and distribution of products in the country. Additionally, the PC will be responsible for maintaining a good collaborative partnership with local patient organizations in implementing advocacy initiatives aligned with Max’s strategy. Responsibilities: Facilitate the day-to-day operations and administration of support programs in accordance with established guidelines Assist the partner physician team with patient application process by ensuring all required documents are completed and eligible patients are promptly enrolled in the program Contact patients to ensure program compliance, and provide emotional support, resource referrals, and basic disease information, as needed Amplify patient voices by collecting and sharing stories from patients and stakeholders Report all known patient adverse events within 24 hours, in accordance with program guidelines, including all relevant source documents Accurately update and maintain database records on a timely basis Proactively communicate program progress and on-the-ground developments to the program officer Support senior team in preparing reports and tracking progress Maintain professional communications (including face-to-face) with patients, healthcare professionals, and other key stakeholders to ensure the smooth implementation of support programs Support the clinic to facilitate the importation and customs clearance of donated products Handle requests tactfully by gathering feedback, identifying problems, and finding solutions Qualifications: Diploma required, bachelor's degree preferred in Social Work, Public Health, Nursing or a related field Minimum one year of working experience in a healthcare related field; experience in management of medicines or supply chain a plus Comfortable and proficient using a computer and phone as primary tools for the job and able to work well independently Communicate clearly with patients, healthcare professionals and involved stakeholders at all levels Fluent in English and Armenian. Competency in Russian is a plus. Well-versed with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Power Point Strong organizational skills; detail-oriented in documentation and reporting Responsible for independent and timely execution of duties Willing to work on weekends to support patients, as needed Possess own transportation Skills and Attributes: Passionate about The Max Foundation’s mission and vision, and determined to lead and accomplish all goals related to current and future strategic plans An open innovative, growth mindset, able to visualize and implement novel revenue models in line with the highly innovative approach of the organization High attention to detail and a high standard for quality work product Deep understanding of and comfortable in a global environment, with an emphasis on low and middle-income countries Passion for exceptional collaboration, and flexibility to do what it takes to elevate positive culture Comfort working in a complex, fast-paced, and high-workload environment Caring, humble, and people-oriented servant leader Team oriented, ability to listen and engage internal and external stakeholders to achieve objectives.
