Description

Overview Element has an opportunity for a Metallurgy Technician whose primary responsibility is to perform routine, metallurgical, mechanical, failure, corrosion testing facilitating metallurgy operations at site or at a laboratory. Salary: $26- $28/hr DOE Responsibilities Review specifications and customer paperwork to ensure testing is set up correctly Perform standard and non-standard metallurgical evaluations (castings, grain size, recast, microstructure analysis, microhardness, corrosion testing, etc.) Communicate with clients on matters of concern/interest Prepare and review customer reports Skills / Qualifications Bachelor's (B.S.) degree in Metallurgy or a related field 2-4 years of experience working in a laboratory in the field of metallurgy testing Good knowledge of interpreting specifications Good report writing skill Good communication skills Self-motivated, team-player with excellent organizational and communication skills Company Overview Element is one of the fastest growing testing, inspection and certification businesses in the world.
